Could be. I was behind a ranger today and it seemed a lot smaller than the tacoma in terms of width. My dad had a 2008 regular cab ranger for like 3 months with the 3.0 V6 and it was a complete piece of junk. There was no power and the gas mileage was garbage. He sold that and bought a salvage title 2007 access cab tacoma which now my brother has. My dad now drives a V8 4runner

Would using a vacuum line be more effective than spraying it into the throttle body?

Yes if you get the stuff in the can and just slowly suck it out then at the very end of the can suck it up fast enough for the engine to stall like it flooded out not so fast where you hydro lock it let it sit and soak for a bit then start it up. Oh and you won't have a skeeter problem for months afterwards. It'll smoke as you are sucking it in and really smoke at the start up.

Do you know which vacuum line you're supposed to use with the 4.0? I haven't been able to get a straight answer with research online

There isn't really a right or wrong one to use.

Any of them will work just find the one that's most centralized a smaller one would be better less chance of sucking it up too fast and hyrdo locking the engine. You'll dip the vacuum hose into the can suck a little up then take it out do that until pretty much all of it's gone. Then stall the engine by sucking enough up to cause it to act like it's flooded.

The preferred method is the brake boost vacuum line. Apparently it covers more area in the intake an I believe the pcv valve?

Edit: or directly to the gas tank.

@JimboAnz wanna make a little money on your rear HC w/ swingout? I’ve got that HC sitting at Eddy’s without a swingout. Could just rattlecan it and throw it on...then I’ll put some cash in your pocket for the swingout.

I think the timeframe we’re working in may be a factor.

The DMV to DMV stuff is the worse nightmare they are so confused. Even getting cars from other states and the DMV here not knoing anything of the other states title transfer laws. It's a mess for sure.

Are you going to put a swingout on that one? Is it ever going to get finished?

It’s the plan...but not in a rush. I’m also on the fence with putting a HC on the truck. #notnorm
