Busy day for my week-old 2018 TRD Sport 4x4. Tinted the front windows and installed a Gator bed cover as well as a 1-Up bike rack. Next up: some beefier tires to replace the wimpy looking stock Toyos. Thinking 265/70r17 Falkens or BFGs on the sport wheels.

    Too much.
Finished my dash cam install. BlackVue D590-1ch with the Power Magic Pro. Ran the power through the headliner, down the A pillar, and hooked up the ACC power in to the washer fuse using an add a fuses and the BATT power to the dome light fuse.

The mount is a 3d printed mount I found on shapeways.

I soldered all the connections rather than using the cig plug adapters that came with it.

Tomorrow I'll remove the card and take a look at the footage from my commute to see if the camera angle is good to go.

Do you have any more info on that mount? Part #? Does it use the GoPro mount?

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Huh. Turns out using the GoPro mount for a BlackVue is a fairly popular topic. Here's another thread on the subject.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/blackvue-in-the-gopro-mount.532939/

This is interesting to me since the previous owner installed a GoPro mount, and I have a BlackVue in the "queue" (still in box, waiting patiently for me to get to it).
Looks like a good thing I didn't just remove as I might be able to make use of it.
Once again, procrastination pays off! (well, maybe)

Put these little stickers on my new wheels, anyone else have them, are they staying put, almost find it hard to believe that they would stay on in the rain sleet and snow

Well I added a couple recovery tow hooks to the back bumper. I haven’t completed installation as I need to get some bolts and I need to drill a couple holes in the frame.

Trying to decide how exactly I’d like to mount these with the existing holes in the frame. Should I use the First Bolt/Hole Location or the Second?

    First Bolt/Hole Location:

    Second Bolt/Hole Location:

Here’s some pics if I mounted it in the second Bolt/Hole Location:

I’m leaning towards the second spot because it won’t stick out and is kind of right underneather my Bumper End Caps.

That $2,000 price is just a suggested retail. Most shops that install leather interiors from Roadwire or Katzkin will do the job for less than that suggested retail. The nice thing about Roadwire or Katzkin, you can really customize what you get. Two-Tone, even Three-Tone in some cases, if the shop knows how to get the order done. Contrast stitching, perforation, even personalized custom logos. The other nice thing is you can add a heat/cool system to your seats if you do custom leather. The leather is ordered perforated w/reticulated foam so that there's air transfer and the heat/cool can be added while the leather is being installed. Something you can't get with Clazzio Seat Covers.

I'm just wondering if there is enough room to get a hook/shackle in the 2nd position? I can't really tell from the pictures.

If it's just 2 bolts, drive around for awhile with the recovery hooks in each position and see which one you like better.

That’s a good idea. Since you said that, I had to go outside and check.

Are you running OME Coils with stock shocks? If so, how much lift you getting in front and back? I debating of just going OME/5100 with progressive AAL or just getting the coils. As Id like to use funds towards sliders.

I like sticking out, and I bet they would be more versatile that way. Imagine your strap or line pulling from the oddest angles and if sticking in works then cool. Where did you get these? They're nice!
