I had to look that up too. Do I need to get the sticker, and a tattoo now?

The real question is why don't you have any gigantic graphics on that thing yet? -thousands of expo points! You are a overlander now. Time to represent a cause even if it's a stupid one!

Back in my 1997 4runner (2.7 manual), and busted the radiator on a rock. I could get an auto radiator almost anywhere, so thats what i got. i used the stock trans cooler in my new radiator as a power steering cooler. I had an aussie locker in the front, and the pump was happier with the cooler.

Yes, it's County Road 20. Things are really kind of self-explanatory once you get up there for the most part - though Google maps can be a little misleading in their road labels. If you did go Engineer, you'd want to make sure not to descend Mineral Creek but instead head toward Animas Forks/Cinnamon Pass in order to get down to 550 at Silverton (from the junction above Animas Forks it's only a few minutes to Cinnamon Pass proper if you take the uphill left if you want to hit both). Mineral Creek is rougher and puts you down on 550 much closer to Ouray - and significantly farther north than Ophir comes out, so you'd miss a big chunk of 550 if you didn't drive it twice (or more). The area and trails between Ouray/Silverton/Lake City is referred to as the Alpine Loop: https://www.fs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb5286478.pdf

Thank you for the map and all the great info! I'm not worried about hitting both cinnamon and engineer as much as which would get me there quicker to check out Imogene before heading down to Silverton! Thanks for the link, that will be very helpful! Camping anywhere on there perfectly fine or stick to campgrounds noted?
