    I’ve been waiting for this fix for a while, logged it months ago and sent it to OVTune.

    Hmmm....

    Can I have the tsb done and flash back to 1.04. My guess is no and I’ll have to wait for 1.05.

    In the OVTune thread they say you have to wait for 1.05, 1.04 would be incompatible after the TSB is applied. Mat recently said the 1.05 version will have the TSB stuff applied to it

    As a rule, no they won't be done automatically. You make a complaint that matches the symptom(s) in the TSB, the dealer verifies that you have those symptoms, then the TSB is done (if everything else matches, such as model year, transmission, etc). It's voluntary.

    There may be a few cases on TW where work was done by the dealer during a service visit without a specific complaint, but I would think that would be rare.

    Short answer - you'll have to request the update.

    I size up tire
    Mine is an 18 . I haven’t noticed a stumble but I have noticed it will shift into 4th too fast at low speeds and then goes flat on power.

    The TSB specified in this thread, 0062-18, is for the 2GR-FKS 3.5V6 only (and only auto trans).

    Have to throw the BS card on Toyota for this. Thankfully I have OVTune. Wonder how many Gen 3 owners out of warranty (3yr/36K) no longer take their vehicle to Toyota and will never know about this fix?

    Where did you go Autonation? Any resistance to doing the TSB or did they just do it because you asked?
    When I got that first transmission TSB done at Toyota of Tampa Bay they did it no problem but then gave me issues with a radio update TSB so not sure I want to drive all that way to argue for them to do this.

    dealer should no it ,with no questions asked, mine does, its an update for your trucks computer, just like a pc update or antivirus update. it all computerized, just take a copy with you, and tell them to update your truck, to the latest software level.. just like anything else in this world of tech crap. taking mine wedsday to get this done

    The TSB extends past the OEM warranty - but unless you know about them (thanks to TW we do) and presuming they validate the issue. Otherwise you are SOL. Hope you have a good Dealer Service Manager - otherwise I'd say don't waste your time - just purchase the OVTune.

    I called up my local dealer's service department and asked if they can apply TSB 0062-18. They put me on hold for a minute to look up the TSB, they came back and asked how soon I can get in to have the TSB applied. I told them I'm on the way right now. 2 hours later they called to tell me it was done.
