I wish it were that easy. :(

For the smaller Toyota emblem, like the one I most recently posted, I'd need a little more height from the emblem to conceal it all. I'd assume the sensor would function behind the emblem but that would need to be tested out too.

I think the only way to conceal the sensor really well would be to make a stylized letter set where the O in Toyota or C or O in Tacoma is in the center, and then tuck the sensor behind the center of letter. The sharp font we use is perfect for that, but it would be off center one way or another. A 5 or 7 letter word, like "TACOS" would be viable to work with, since the good letter for the sensor would naturally be in the center.

It's a complex problem to deal with, and for us it required a complex solution given the mesh and bezel setup we use. I really tried to make the sensor area as minimal as I could given the parameters I had to work with. We shaved about 0.75" from the width, and 2.5" from the height of the factory design from Toyota. The sensor window is noticeably smaller than the hexagon plastic area surrounding the logo on the OEM grill, though admittedly it's not blended in as well.

Another quicksand build coming up soon. I like the quicksand and all but where are the other colors at?

I'm not sure exactly which config you're looking for but it's probably one of them listed below. If that isn't the correct config, just let me know and can probably photoshop it up for you.

Due to a significant decrease of interest in our 3rd gen products on TW and a significant increase in competition elsewhere, I am removing the TW discount that was offered for the last 2 years. As a result, I am lowering the everyday price to be more competitive.

2016-17 mesh + bezel combos now start at $249.99 (with a coupon on our site for free 48 state shipping)
2018 mesh + bezel combos now start at $299.99 (with a coupon on our site for free 48 state shipping)

Both of these base prices are on par with the previous discounted offers, and in some cases better than before.

    This looks awesome.
It blends in the TSS sensor better than I thought possible. Do you think flat black would do this as well as the gloss?

I'm thinking about going for the same look in cement gray.

Personally, I think the gloss black blends better than the flat black. Thus far, all the 2018 color matches we've done are with gloss and have turned out amazing

That's a real shame. This is a nice grill. I'm only holding off to see if you have a way of making the old school Toyota badge and the TRD badge detachable. I could probably use the old 4Runner Toyota badge and make it removable myself. Can you take some pics of the back of the emblems? If it looks like I can make something, I might pick up a set.

It's still going to be a while before I'd have a ready made detachable emblem. I think at the end of the day, the quickest, cheapest, easiest way to make it removable is to grind off the back and put some 3M tape on it.

Below are the pics of the back. The posts are about 1/2" tall, and the radius of the base of the post is about 7/8". Only the center post has a screw hole.

Is that the 4Runner emblem or something you made? You're right, gonna have to grind those posts off. I was thinking of using some kind of bendable, flat metal posts to grab onto the grill slots...

It's a fj40 emblem we buy in bulk from Toyota. If you want it flush up against the mesh, the posts definitely have to go.

Assembled a 2018 with Cement TRD today. It was the first time we had ever painted the color and it looks real good.

    $425 shipped (48 states)

I'll have another full cement build with color match bezel and big letters complete in about a week as well.
