Recommended leveling kits for 33" tires?

Looking to level my tacoma but also provide a slight increase in height to clear 33" tires.

I see the front strut spacers with rear lift blocks kits. What is a good kit without experiencing problems or vibrations afterwards.

Not a leveling kit, a lift kit. A leveling kit is just that, it levels the truck. A lift kit lifts the truck
That being said, you'll get a lot of people saying don't use spacer lifts. Look in the suspension forum

 

Haven't done mine yet, but I'm getting the kit from low range. It's a 3/1 level/lift. You'll gain 2" in front and 1" in rear.

Debating spindle vs suspension lift is another argument. All depends on your use. If you don't offroad (or barely offroad), a spindle kit is just fine.

 

I understand that. I see Bilstein 5100's are popular option. Is there a recommended Bilstein kit that lifts front up and also rear slightly. Be lifted and level front to back?

Typically, most lift kits level the truck as well. I'm pretty sure there is a thread somewhere for a budget lift kit that uses Bilstein 5100s with Old Man Emu 888 springs

I like this kit as well. Just concerns me about needing a needle bearing fix. Nicest spacer kit out there.

 

If you are 4wd you might need it with any lift.

 

Needle bearings will randomly grenade on 4x4 trucks after a lift. That’s why most people will just do them with the lift. You would just wait to see what happens. Spacer lift is fine for mall crawling, but any off-roading will put a lot of extra stress on the parts.

Spacer lifts, most leveling kits, lift the truck by preloading the struts, so you lose travel range on the suspension. Again, fine if you don’t articulate it much because you’re on the street all the time.

A true suspension lift will lift the truck and just move the articulation range lower, allowing the same articulation in a range that’s lower to the ground, raising the truck up.
Or another type of suspension lift will use the lift to create a larger range of motion, so you get longer travel. Mid-travel or Long-travel kits. Much more expensive though.

At least grab the bilstein 5100 kit. It’s a solid kit that will do well in many situation, and if you do the spacer lift, you will likely upgrade it in the near future anyway. Buy once, cry once my dude.

Use the right tires and wheels and no suspension changes are needed. You wind up with fuller wheel wells, more actual ground clearance (at the axle line, from tire size) no rubbing, cutting or banging.

Less cost, no risk of warranty games blaming suspension changes.

255 80 17 or 255 85 16 tires on Tacoma or 4 Runner wheels.

Maybe with either 285/70 R17 or 285/75 R16 tire, 8-9" rim w/ 0 offset.

 

I have a rough country 2 inch leveling kit clearing 265/75R16 easy with no rubbing and never cut anything.

 

Those fit stock...

 

265s are only 31s man, 285/75r16 is 33s

 

They round up to 32"

 

31's are not good?

 

I don't think anyone said that. Just saying you don't need a lift to fit those with no rubbing. You can do that stock.
