That's right! From what I've read the install is pretty simple. I'll come up to install and use the ride back as the break in period!

I've already watched this video in it's entirety, but I plan to again and also reference it during install.

So all non e-locker tacos are the 8", right? And the ORs are 8.4"?

I think it’s just mistyping on their end. I cross referenced part numbers and there are a few sites that list it for 8” when really it’s for 8.4”

Just read something that we have the same rings and shit that the 8" has but we have some kind of spacer to cover space and makes it somewhat stronger.....buttttttttt I don't know what any of that means. I know suspension but once you get talking about gears I get lost.

The more I look at ECGS the more I'm thinking about regearing. I could do them one at a time as along as I dont use 4WD right?

Yeah I’ve heard something like that too but never cared enough to look into it. As long as a locker will fit in my diff, I’m happy!

I’m no expert, but if I did that, I would disconnect the front driveshaft.

It shouldn’t matter since the t case keeps them separated. That said, I’d just do it all at once.

The problem I always run into in this situation is that Freebie is my DD.

I'm sure if I had an extra set of hands I could probably get it done in a weekend. The rear is a no brainer. The front... thats a whole other level of bullshit.

I wonder if ECGS would be willing to do a group buy.

Yes both trucks have an 8" ring gear the non locker 8.4 has some more bearing support and I believe one more bolt in the ring gear.

The best thing to get is a 8.75" out of a elocker turd gen or open MT truck. It's a true 8.75" ring gear.
