My afr gauge still is busted or something. I replaced sensor twice. Still no good.

No burnouts either. So far the power seems to come on smoother. Feels less lazy when you go from cruising speed/rpm to full throttle

Installed the URD 255lph fuel pump last weekend with the help of another member, and went with the Deatschwerks pump over the Walbro as I read they are quieter. The truck no longer seems to hold fuel pressure when off. If I start the truck by turning the key to accessory and pause for a second or 2 to allow the fuel system to prime, the truck starts normally. If I immediately crank it from off to start the truck turns over many times before starting, enough to turn heads in the parking lot and have my kid as if the truck is broken. I'm very confident everything is installed correctly. We switched out the rubber fuel line from the pump for a non-collapsible flexible plastic fuel line recommended in another thread and it fit perfect.

So is this normal? Did the OEM pump have a check valve that the aftermarket pump is missing?

    Bosch or AEM AFR sensor?

It sounds like the internal check valve is defective. You can always install an external if you so desire. That is probably what I would do unless you want to replace the fuel pump again.

I agree it seems defective, I was just curious if anyone with the same Deatschwerks pump had a differing experience.

Replacing the pump is a PITA as I’m sure most are aware.

I put the Deats pump on a couple months ago and every now and then I get an intermittent long start where it takes 3-4 seconds or so even if the truck has not been sitting.

Unless there was a change in the later models, to prime the system, in Accessory mode, it only primes when the key is turned to start the engine.

You won't regret that! Will it eliminate the CATs at all? Can you eliminate CATs on a 2015?

The y-pipe eliminates the 2 "aft" CATs, so it "should" have no bearing on the O2 sensor readings.

Do you have an exhaust manifold on the 2015? Or do the front CATs bolt onto the engine?

And the y-pipe will not effect the O2 sensors in the slightest. They only monitor the front CATs, you good to go. :)

Exhaust manifold, with welded CATs, iirc.

I'm looking for better sound with my TRD CAT-back, but don't want any droning or rasp.

So I had front CATs, URD y-pipe, and a TRD CAT back and had zero drone. It sounded awesome. It's only when you eliminate all four CATs and install long tube headers that you will start to battle rasp and drone. I had to install a resonator once I did the long tube headers cause the rasp was pretty bad. You will be just fine, no rasp!

That's the info I was looking for. :hattip:

Any chance you have any AV clips of that setup?

Glad I could help. I remember searching long and hard about that very issue when I was debating the y-pipe rasp drone demon. It's a nice feeling to find someone that did it and they say, yeah I had no issues with that.
I don't have any clips with that set up unfortunately. Sorry...

    No worries.

I've been looking myself, for about 2 years now.

Hmm. Maybe it has just been coincidence that it has started quicker then, it has only been in the truck for 5 days. Looks like I’ll install in an inline check valve. Does anyone know the size of the fuel line to get the right size valve fitting? 3/8”?

I was looking at using one of these high flow inline check valves from Performance Fuel, which I found the identical valve for less here. My thought was to install it close to the tank on the rubber line from the URD kit before the fuel filter.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
I just went to the site, and the single valve was $13.xx and shipping to me in AZ was another $12.xx. I think you should order 10 of them, get the discount, and then offer the others up to members for $15 (or near that) shipped. They would fit in a regular envelope (with some extra scotch tape) and ship for about a buck. I'd buy one from you. Don't have the time to do a big purchase and send out the extras myself.
