I have a 2007 DCLB Sport 4x4 and my truck has a 6in fabtech DB lift kit. The 5 1/2 in spacer up front looks and handles ridiculous plus I don't do really any off-roading but wanted mostly suspension under there to have better on and off road manners and a healthier suspension. As you can see my shocks are ready to go and I need beefier coils up front to support my arb bumper and winch because I have a little bit of sag. So I think I decided what I wanted to do but not sure if it's possible because of the DB kit. Was wanting to do bilstein 5100's set to the 3in lift mark and ome 886 coils then add a 1in spacer. For a total of 4in of lift. Is this ok to do and is it even possible with my setup I have going on. Or am I just screwed and have to throw beffier springs and the bilsteins set to stock ride height and install them under that gooseneck of a spacer and forced to live with the 6in lift? I know about getting rid of the crossmember up front and the expensive process it would be to go back to stock and I'm not willing to do that.

Sorry but unless you have some BIG bank account you are stuck with the 6 inch DB,the good thing about DB kits is it keeps you cv axles straight for long life, unlike other lifts.I would put 6112 Bilsteins on the front, and I think Bilstein 6120 on the back ,clean and paint the springs and you will have a nice truck.Lots of guys like the 6 inch lifts.By the way DB kits dont give you much if any extra clearance at all,as they hang below the truck frame, your tire size gives you clearance height.

I like 4in but 6in just a little much for me. Thank you!

LOL,you can live with 2 inchs higher, stop letting it bother you and enjoy your truck.

So you think I should keep the spacer and all?

Yes on the spacer, you can put new coils on if you want too,but unless they are sagging its a waste of money, just get new shocks all the way around,6112/6120 Bilsteins are very nice, its what the Tacoma Pro trucks used, and its what is on my truck.6112 shocks are very strong and well made.

Some guys hate spacers, others have no problem running them, just like the debate on wheel spacers.I would have no problem with you DB set-up,NO cv axle problems like non-DB high lifts have.

I do have sag in the front and that's why I was thinking new coils with new shocks

A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Sell the bumper and winch.

Use the funds to improve your suspension.

Preloading 5100's with 886 coils is a bad idea. If you don't do any off roading as you stated, ditch the winch and go with 600lb Eibach coils if you really want to preload... you're going to have a harsh ride regardless.

You won’t keep your budget we talked about before, but you can get new coil overs (longer) and remove the spacer all together.

If you choose to get new coil overs, pm me. I can set you up with a proper price.

Well if at all possible I would like to go 3in coilover lift then 1in spacer but that adds to 4in which is what I'm wanting vs the 6in but I don't know if that's gonna throw things off suspension wise. I have 33's and don't want it to look funny with the 6in lift. Plus my wife likes the idea of it being a bit easier to get into the truck

Cant go over 3" up front without cv angles and all that jazz being pushed to its absolute limit. On a 4x4 I believe 3" would be max lift without either a DB lift or a body lift. The 2wd's can take a lift spindle and/or coils/spacers to stack lifts

I understand, im saying without eithwe having your drop bracket, or a body lift, you can't crank your stoxk suspension past 3". That db lift allows you to keep stock level geometry up front.

OP I’m at 3.5” with a diff drop and I have good angles. In case that’s the route you wanna take it can be done safely and properly but you’ll be way over 1500 to do it right.

I would contact Fabtech and see if the crossmember is the same between the 4 and 6” kits. If it is then there should be no reason you can’t get a smaller spacer and new shocks to bring it down to where you want to be.
