First two are in the RGV, 3rd is in Corpus, 4th in SA, and last one in Plano.

 

There was a gentleman there with a large camera taking pics, I believe he worked for a dealership in your area...as I remember him stating that.

Yes they were setup past where you were, not my direction but the other way.

 

I spoke with Toyota of Pharr for this year's meet last month. They presented it to corporate but was denied for liability issues. I did not present the run in any spectacular way, just merely as a yearly Tacoma run, if they could inform their new Tacoma owners about it and if they would be interested in sporting their dealership flags on some of the TW members trucks, but liability was the reason for rejection. Or maybe I just spoke to the wrong guy!

 

Don't hurt to try again for next year run. DNT give up. Show them all the pics of this run we had. A little inspiration would be good.

 

there were two gentlemen there and their families, one was a mechanic and the other worked in sales Department they were very nice guys!I believe they were at the Pharr Toyota site.

 

I went to one meet in Ft. Worth several years ago and the admins of the group invited several employees from a dealership in Ft. Worth. They all showed up, met with us and brought several items for door prizes.

 

My wife was doing some research on it and she found that we can definitely get a police escort, it'll cost anywhere from $150.00-$300.00. I may or may not be remembering correctly.

A good, strong pitch needs to be made, one that favors both parties, we all know this though.

I work at a dealership in CA, also worked in one in SA and for the most part, unless they really want to get involved with their communities, they will not want to participate.
Most dealerships just don't really know how to deal with these kinds of things.

You all are right though, we should keep this conversation going. I believe we are onto something special here. If we do it right, it will be amazing!

Out of curiosity for you ppl close to the valley or in the valley. In Dallas it's burning out here with temperature. Is it this hot out there where you guys are at?

 

Well not sure if it's that hot , but the humidity will knock you down quick! Heat and humidity is a killer out here! I don't think we have 3 digit numbers? Everybody please be careful if you work outdoors!
