So I know a lot of people on here are not fans of the RC db. But I want to ask anyway for the few who does have them on here and like it.

I'm deciding between the full OME setup with the 888s. Still debating on adding the light racing UCA or not. Read mixed reviews about OME supporting the stock uca. Thoughts?

OR considering the 4in rough country lift. Probably wont do the 6 because I want to run 33s, and not sure if I'm sold on the look of 33s and 6in lift.

The reason I'm torn is I dont do a lot of off roading. Hunting, light trails and mountain trips. That's about it. But yes, I want a lift and dont want to keep it stock. It simply looks better to me, but, I dont want sacrifice quality or performance.

So if I did the RC I could switch out the rear shocked, for 5100s, or I could spend a little more and do the OME setup with Dakars. But still n

Being I have the OME set and know what the stock leaves are worth my vote is all in on OME with the Dakars and LR UCA's. I got a solid 100k miles out of that setup and it's just not getting to needing to be replaced at 130k on it. No way in hell would I start cutting cross members on one of these trucks. Plus the Dakars are well worth it for the payload capabilities.

I have a buddy that installs rough country all day long every day. All of them are street queens and never take them offroad. If all you want is looks then go for RC. If you want more out of the suspension then go with OME.

What needs to be replaced, the springs? Or the entire setup? How long does the OME setup usually last without off roading?

The shocks but I'm also upgrading to 886 springs most likely with the plate bumper. Dakars are fine. Mine hasn't gotten off road a lot in it's life and when it was it was mostly higher speeds. In your case I would think it would be safe to say you would get 100k at least out of it.

Yes, the front and rear shocks. Spring may have been ok but I've been running it with a heavier load on it so I'm replacing the spring also with a heavier one. Plus that way I can just order it assembled and it's a bolt in install when it gets here.

Drop backet lifters can’t even type in English or complete sentences. That would be enough to steer me away.

IMG_20180518_060853246_HDR.jpg I'm running the 6 inch Rough Country with the upgraded Front struts, the 4 inch block in the rear, Tuff Country add-a-leaf and Ride Rite air bags in the rear with the Daystar Cradles for the air bags. I did cut the cross member to clear the front drive shaft, but welded in a hoop or U plate to connect the cross member and of course bolted the Drop Bracket in below the cut cross member. Running 20x12 Hostile Alpha wheels and 305/55r20 Nitto Trail grappler MT's. No rubbing, no trimming, or cutting on the cab mounts or fenders. Clears at Full turn. Ride is fine, a bit stiff in the rear, but my Roof Top Tent and rack need the support.
