    Hey guys,
I know that Apple hasn’t worked very well with Entune on previous models, but I’m hoping someone has (or can!) figured out a solution to my problem.
I have an iPhone 8 and a stock 2018 trd sport, and I have virtually no sound from my phone when it’s synced to my truck.
The music will work through the truck speakers, and occasionally it’ll beep at me if I get a text message and sometimes it’ll read me my texts if I select the “read” option, but both only half the time.
What bugs me though is the gps. I hate the nav on the truck, so I have to use my phone, which is fine, but there is no turn by turn voice when connected to Bluetooth from either my phone or truck speakers. Complete silence.
I recently went back to Apple because I had a google pixel prior (hated it), but that phone worked 100% while synced with the truck, with no problems.
Any ideas? Or do I just say eff it and disconnect the Bluetooth?

Is your phone volume up? Your phones volume need to be maxed. My iPhone X works flawlessly.

Mine does the same thing. It’s a IPhone 7 Plus and I can’t hear anything either. I would love to know how to fix it also.

Have you tried sound settings in entune for your phone?

I’ve tried a little of everything. Basically if I remember right the only time I can hear the directions is if you are using Bluetooth mode for music etc.

Hmm, I don’t think I’ve tried that. Will give it a shot soon

If you’re using Google Maps (as you should be; Apple maps sucks), set the voice prompts to “play as phone call”.

Tap the cog wheel, then choose Navigation, then choose Play as Bluetooth phone call.

Well, I can get it to work just fine with google maps so thanks for that. I’d still prefer Apple maps though, mostly for the voice commands

I thought you said you didn’t get any turn-by-turn directions through Bluetooth?

Google maps work now that I’ve set it to play as a phone call, but Apple maps still isn’t working at all for sound. (Which is I want)
And I still don’t get an alert for all of my text messages, only some of them. Same with having entune read them to me

Have you logged into the entune app on your phone and downloaded the latest firmware for the head unit (should happen automatically)?

I don’t know how that’s done with the app, but I’ve tried updating the firmware with a USB and it wasn’t needed, already up to date
