    for the discussion a little farther up in this thread all second gen Tacomas have a secondary pump unless it was swapped out for something else or its a 4 banger. third gen have (i think) something different than a secondary pump and i don't no if first gens have one.

    yes you are right the 3rd gen did something different. i think the late 11 trd pro has it but im not sure. by the way freddy2923 nice pic of your truck

    You are incorrect. All 2nd Gen 4 cylinders have the Secondary Air Pump. 2nd Gen V6 from late 2011-2015 have them. 2013-2015 recirculates exhaust gas back through them at shutdown to blow out moisture. There is an audible woosh of air that can be heard. Coming from a 2010 TRD OR that was quiet on shutdown, I thought there was something wrong with my 2013 TRD OR when I first test drove it.

    There was no TRD Pro in 2011. the TRD PRO was 2015 only.
