The HD pack has 7 leafs. I took out the third from the top and it rides SO much better and still carries plenty of weight with ease. The HD pack is only for a lot of weight and I mean full bed rack, armor, tent and fully loaded bed

I removed the 3rd from the top in the HD (7-leaf) pack and it was the best thing I did considering I never really put more than 500lbs in the bed

Seems like he went with the E rating based on the description. I dont know any other reason he would put an E at the end. It could be a typo or something though. Guess @Malibu7tss would probably know better.

His initial thought was to do the e rated. Switched to c at the last minute to keep the weight as close to stock as possible from what I understand. Could be the he switched back again, or forgot to change it in the description. I did not look at the tire when it was completed just saw that it had ridge grapplers.

This is good to see, cause I have been planning on going the 888's, 5100's all corners and been undecided on the rear end. Have talked to Marie at HS and still undecided with what to do in the rear. Think I am gonna go with the Dakar HD springs for rear.

Just pulled the trigger on the HS Bilstein 5100 package with 888 coils and Dakar HD's and LR UCA's (just to be safe).

Got the rear shocks on tonight. Gonna tackle the leaf springs and front struts in the morning. Also did the extended brake lines already.

Left to do, install LR UCA's and ECGS bushing. Suspension parts took about 6 hours total for myself doing it. Those Leaf springs are a pain and heavy... LOL

Hey there. Just wondering what your hub to fender measurements ended up being after settling? I'm looking at the same spring combo (888/HD Dakar). I just picked up '17 DCSB with a 3/2+AAL lift and am wanting to get rid of the spacers asap. I already put some 285s on it and don't want to lose any clearance though. Im also trying to figure out if I should add the 1/4" spacers on top of the struts.

Let me measure it today and will get the info. I have had it on the truck for about 2 1/2 months now (honestly doesn't feel like it settled any.

The front both sides is 23" and the rear both sides is about 24 3/4". Hope that helps

    Great info.

It looks like you don't really have any weight in the rear. Do you feel like the HD springs ride too stiff unloaded?

I'm still thinking I might add the 1/4 strut spacers to cut some of the rake down a bit.

I love the ride. Reason I went with this setup was due to towing my boat which is about 3800lbs. Before with stock suspension, my rear would drop about 2 1/2". Now it drops about 1/2".

Only time I realize there is some rake in it is when I am looking at it. My plan is to change out the tires to possibly 255/??, but haven't decided yet. The wife said I have to let the stock rubber wear down first since I added all the other stuff.

Right on. Yeah I have a 2200lb camper trailer with a 200-300lb tongue weight, usually have the bed full of gear, and am planning on adding a topper soon and don't want it to sit low in the back with the weight. I also don't want to mess with airbags.

Also, my truck came with a 3" spacer lift installed by the previous owner and I've already swapped the tires out for 285's and don't want there to be any clearance issues when I replace the spacers/stock springs with lift springs. I'm currently at 24" front and 24.5" rear which is why I think I'll need the additional spacers up front.
