It’s alive. Good compression even with the release.

    Can’t save the carb though.
So I need to pull it apart tomorrow and put another new one I have on..
Slow down the hi rpm too.
If it checks out then put the belts and shields on and done.

Bad storms in store tomorrow so we have things to do in garage.

These engines have a aluminum rods, pistons, etc.
Not wise to twist it for just a mower, blower application.
Turn it up some? Yea. But, cranking it will put it in the caution zone.
If it was a race or puller motor I’d get a better rotating assembly and crank the piss out of it.

Good evening folks. Back from the field, dinner is overwith got a load of laundry going. Gonna try to make it to 2000 hrs then hit the rack. Got 2 cell boosters to install. 1 in my truck and 1 in a contact station. I guess they (whoever the hell "they" are) are going to do a test to see if the permit sales app/site/whateverthehellitis can be accessed so we can enter the 20th century with permit sales with credit/atm cards from a field location. Currently.we just do cash/check/money orders....who the hell still uses all that?

Right!? Yet they do. Canadians can't use checks unless it's from an American bank. So we do get some money orders. But some do have accounts in American banks. Their atm cards don't always work. My wife has to deal with them at the grocery store. They bitch at the store when their cards don't work yet it's usually only their cards.

Anyway, for an updated weather forecast:

    Screenshot_20180721-190416.jpg

Funny thing, I had to stop at the store on the way home. As I was walking across the parkinglot I was marveling at how nice it was outside. Well of course, it was only 104 degrees!

Well fudge! I sure had more than 75 mins of nap in mind when I said decent .... 75 mins does NOT a decent nap make. Uuugh ... :annoyed:

... and fighting to sleep more doesn’t seem to work too well.

I hope it’s closer to 1 month than 2 when the reindeer wranglers let me move to swing shift. 9 years of mids are starting to take a toll.

Screw it ... ice cream is never a bad idea, right?

    :hattip: Martin

“cash/check” ... “sure thing mister, where do I swipe my debit card?”

:anonymous: when I roll out into “non-Kcup country” I still carry cash.

When I can't sleep I usually drop a couple Aleve and usually knocks me out in about 15 minutes or so.
