I went and got the 100w solar panel kit from HF today. Didn't buy a battery yet though. Thinking about getting one in the 100AH range. There are a lot of really good reviews on these panels, so I'm pretty sure they'll serve my needs. But, being new to trying out a solar set up, I figure once I get out and start using it, it will either meet my needs, or reveal it's shortcomings. If it isn't up to par, then I'll upgrade if needed. I can simply use this set up on something like my shed, which currently doesn't have power in it, to power a light etc. So, either way I'll get some use from it. One of the guys I work with says his sister uses the same set up with 2 batts in her cabin in Idaho and it works fine for them, for household items. My tests today showed that even out of the sun, in the shade, with the sun almost completely down, I can still pull 14 plus volts charging power. I'll only need it for a future 12v fridge and some camp lighting. Maybe charge a phone and laptop as needed. So, I suspect it will be enough, but I guess time will tell. I think getting the trailer set up the way I want may be as fun as using the thing.. lol.
