It's common on plastic/kydex holsters. The cheaper they are, the rougher the interior finish is. Alien Gear reminds me of Fobus in the quality of plastic. Some holster makers finish the interior off the holsters, too.

Edit: if you're worried about holster wear, include wiping out your holster with your regular maintenance to keep dirt/dust down. Leather can help prevent early finish wear, but it's harder to clean the inside of the holster and leather isn't stiff enough, in my opinion, for safe appendix carry.

Could be a difference in the quality/finish of the plastic. I don't worry too much about holster wear lol.

My rule of thumb is I'll try a super cheap, Chinese-made, similar holster. If there's enough good things about it, I'll look for something similar to it but with improved components and the things I liked about the holster and I'll usually be very satisfied. For example, I loved the Galco OWB leather holster for my Beretta, but it looked to plain, there were holes I didn't need for the cant and the opening for the holster was weak. That led me to getting the Tucker Gun Leather HF2 holster and it's awesome for leather OWB.

On your 6 is veteran owned and run. The retention is set on the trigger guard so holster wear is minimal. All kydex construction at a reasonable price. Most expensive one I have is lefty owb 5” 1911 cost roughly $45. Built while I was there in about 20 minutes.
