    Pretty much.

The plot thickens though, those fucking tek screws already stripped out on the driver side.:frusty::censored::censored::censored::annoyed::crapstorm:

This is exactly why I'm so against the pieces of shite. Anyways snowtank bailed my ass out with a brilliant idea, drill through the whole crash bar top to bottom and put in a 4-5" bolt thru with washers and a nylock.

Ain't no kill like overkill and that sure as hell won't budge or strip out.:curls:

I honestly think it may have been the application of BFH that stripped them.

And I can't really fault N-Fab too much for it, they built in adjustment for this exact reason but I guess something on the jig wasn't totally true or we didn't quite do it right...
Now tell the truth, do you really think there are fab shops out there that wouldn't be like "I ran it on the jig it's fine" and actually go test install every product before powdercoat? .... just sayin' is all.

    +1

That will be my next jack purchase. Already have an Arcan 3 ton floor jack but having 2 floor jacks is very helpful sometimes.

The insurance adjuster came by today. After she spent a few hours going over everything she gave me the total estimated cost of repairs.... $19,789! Are you fucking kidding me? Now she said they are going to pay for most all of it but still felt like having a mini panic attack when she showed me the number. My house is full of holes in the ceiling right now from the water line reroute and they have to rip up all the tile because the water is under it. The whole bottom floor is tile and they can't match it so it needs to be replaced. They even tore up a wall in my garage to get to the leaking water line. So that needs to be repaired too. It's all fucking crazy. 20180717_141607.jpg 20180717_141610.jpg

Oh I left snowtanks at like 2 and we had basically just spent an hour or so with an ice cream man break. Most of the job was getting the shocks put in.

I came home and dicked around with the bar for another hour or so, used hammer, tape measure, level, and lots of wrenching. No dice so I give up.

A couple hours after that (after dinner) I came back down and looked at it again with fresh eyes and noticed that the driver's side was loose and the tek screws were flapping up and down as you pushed with not that much force.

So no, we haven't been working on this shit all day, it's just been a few spaced out episodes of being like "dammit what the fuck"

Oh, I gotcha. Yeah I mean I read about those when I started googling tips on how to straighten mine out and it definitely sucks, shoulda been caught. And that one wasn't even in a dimension they factor in adjustment for.

But again I would not go on the warpath for a less-than-1° slant and call it trash product. Annoying, but I think we may have also messed up a little by tightening the bars before screwing in the legs to the crash bar- it says to adjust the bar with the fasteners "loosely tightened" and then run down the self tappers and then finish tightening... but who reads instructions anyways?:lalala:

It'll get fixed, it will work, it'll be fine, it's just taking longer than expected.:notsure:

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
Back when my kid flooded the 2nd story of our house a few years back, I think it came out to almost $30k. Ended up paying $1k for the deductible, and then like $700 for upgrading the carpet.... came out ahead in the long run because we sold it a few months later with new carpet and paint throughout
