    turn around time? none. just order their complete third (fr/rr) and wait. continued using your truck while they built the unit. once it arrive, swap them with yours (take a few hours to do) and ship your old unit (core) back. Done.

    unless you're shipping yours in to add the lockers and gears, then that takes time and your truck will be down until they ship them back to you. est 2 to 3 weeks before you'll get them if everything is in stock at ECGS. est 1 week to ship to them, a few days for ECGS to built (if its in stock), and 1 week to ship them back to you. unless you overnight it, lol

    I have a question about this install. Where you able to reuse the existing carrier bearing shims and get back to the same backlash and carrier bearing preload? In other words is the machining a 100% precise fit against the factory open diff case? I wanna be able to knock out the install in one go. If I have to have shims on hand they're special order from Toyota, each one costs $8 and there are like 30 different ones in 0.02mm increments

    Nothing is going to be 100% same size, and wear makes a difference as time goes on. Order a shim kit before install

    When I swapped in a Kazuma LSD the fit was 100% exact. Got the same backlash and preload and contact pattern re-using all the original parts.
    There are no shim kits to order. Just a long list of "washer plates" to pick from

    Not sure what you mean, my truck had like 70k when I did it. I still bought the master install kit. You won’t be able to reuse the carrier bearings and races, and while I was in there I figured may as well have a brand new diff. They also have a mini kit if you wanna chance not needing shins or pinion bearings, seals, etc.

    Carrier bearings are pressed onto the carrier. Getting them off the old carrier and pressed onto the new one without damaging them is next to impossible.

    I've done it before. Just need the right puller (not the Autozone junk) and actually pull from the bearing seat, not the retaining cap

    Good luck. I’ve never had a shop able to pull and reuse the bearings.

    Using the right tool for the job is key. The press and an actual diff bearing puller made it easy.

    I believe the shops can save the bearing but they are taking a risk of come backs and warranty so from a bussiness side you are already there just change it out

    $120 for both bearings and they often last over 200k miles. Mine had 60k so no reason to spend stupid money

Camburg UCA. AllPro Expedition leaf pack w/u-bolt flip and Timbren bump stops. 285 70-17 on stock rims with Spider Trax wheel spacers. EBC slotted/drilled rotors with green pads.
    I like to change my underwear after I shower but that's just me. :notsure:
