Yeah I was on the fence about staying the same color as my headlights but I’m kinda digging the contrast

The wheels just came with blank center caps, I bought the decals from importequipment.com and applied them myself. Theres also a certain TRD center cap that fits these wheels but its silver and wouldn't match at all. I cant hear any road noise right now and even when I tried to listen for road noise, radio off, all windows open, and stuck my head out the window, I still couldn't hear any road noise. I hear that they get noisier as they wear down though.

I bought them from Evasive Motorsports, their pricing is very competitive and they stock a ton of parts, it doesn't help that they are about 8 miles from my house either.

I completely agree, I used to hit the front skid at least 2 to 3 times on the my local trail with stock tires, I didn't hit the skid at all on my last trip, amazing what an extra 1/2-1 inch of ground clearance can do. Bigger tires don't get hung up in the smaller ruts that affects smaller tires so it does indeed roll easier!

Took a long “day trip” with other Taco owners today at Joshua Tree (saturday). I travelled 18 hours with my 2 sons Jesse and Jonah. It was a long hot day but they enjoyed offroading and being around their dad.

Some of the trails weren’t easy and I hit my TRD skid plate hard but it held. Also we literally drove to a mud pile of crap! It smelled sooooo bad but I was way too tired to hit a self service wash at 1am.

Earlier in the week my ammo cans were stolen in HardShellTaco including a portable jump starter, air compressor and tire deflators.

Fortunately one of my Taco friends helped me out with borrowing his deflators and air compressor.

Last night at the gas station before heading home, an older gentleman with a 1st gen Taco couldn’t start his up. Another Taco buddy tried to use jumper cables to start it but no luck. He asked for suggestions and I figured it was bad battery. My tiny 500 amp jumper took care of it though!

So even though getting my stuff jacked and losing $300+ of stuff I was happy to enjoy time with my family and Taco owners. The Toyota offroad community are a great bunch of people always helping out each other without an ulterior motive. That’s why I feel great to be a part of it and to help others as well.

    Thanks for reading!

Keep in mind as well that warmer colors are more effective in rainy/snowy/foggy conditions and are what you should strive for in fogs either though a film or through a bulbs color

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Thanks! I'm happy with my current setup, but should I ever need to change it, I will seriously consider a combo similar to yours. As I said, looks great!

Tinted the windows yesterday with Mr. Tint in Escondido. They squeezed us in late afternoon on a busy day with a same day call. They let me stay in the work garage space to watch the process. We went with the Lluminar Comfort Series which is a blend of metal and dye to allow more affordability to meet my wife’s allowed budget. Little difference in heat rejection between the this and lower grade ceramic for more money.

We did 15% on the rear door windows, 15% on the rear left/right glass with 38% on the rear center sliding window and 38% on the front doors. It’s already making a big difference in cutting down the sun glare.

They’re 2”. Removed the mud flaps and trimmed a bit of the fender liner as well as the air dam. Still get the Tiniest amount of rub, but haven’t had time to trim the remainder.

Sadly, no. There's a couple exterior mods I wanted to do before taking photos, but I happen to be the Master of Procrastination (it's my superpower). I'll try to get some pics up in the next week or two.

I have a bilstein 5100 with 888 OME coils and JBA control arms. Rubbed exactly where you mentioned on just 265/75r16. My issue was the alignment. Went to a shop in my area that specializes in lifts and Jeeps. They nailed the alignment. No more rubbing. I guess it was all in the caster. Now I run 255/85s with no rub
