I remember seeing that taco in the parking lot the other night. lol

 

She usually parks up in that section. I figured she works in one of the departments beside the ER. She always goes into the hospital up top and not in at the main lobby where the floors are.

Got half my dash cam installed.



Pressed the mount to the windshield and a unknown crack split down from the top of the windshield. FFS.

Guess it’s time to get it replaced now with 2 cracks. That windshield has been through hell. Multiple fixes on it and now the dash cam also shows the new crack in its view. Guess I’ll be ordering some new mount tape too. Faaaack.

 

Is that a rexing from Amazon? I've had that in my ccart for a few weeks

 

Yup, the V1LG dual cam. It's was on sale on Prime Day for $118.

You should have got it then.

 

I'm not a prime member, so that wouldn't have mattered for me....right?

 

Oh and the damn Ultra Gauge mount broke tonight too. That thing kinda pisses me off anyway. It kept resetting itself to -4 mpg on the screen. Not sure if I'd buy another one of them or go for the other one. Top of my windshield is kinda full anyway with the cam up there and the windshield mount could be a little better on the Ultra Gauge.

 

I would like to get the dual camera one, but don't know how well it would actually do with my camper shell.

I thought everyone had Prime! I use it to stream music off my phone when I driving too. I also use the Prime Video and Twitch Prime. Plus I order a lot of shit off there anyway.

 

Yeah it would probably have to be routed to the back window of the shell. I think it said the cable was 18ft long but there's that issue of getting it out of the truck and into the shell plus keeping it waterproof. Front only would probably be your best option.

 

I never got into the streaming music from phones. I just listen to the radio I just don't use it enough to justify the cost. Although I have ordered more crap for the Tacoma than I did the entire 9 yrs I drove the TJ I may need to reconsider it

Yeah I almost jumped on it then I saw the dual cam with a 720p rear cam.

I had been eyeing the Blackvue's but didn't;t want to spend that much. I eyeballed them hard Prime Day last year when they had the dual for $319. Didn't jump on it then saw these this year and boom. Wife asked me if I was going to film all the crazies and upload them to TW.

 

I'm interested to see what you think of the front mounted one.

So far I like it inside which is what I expect to see outside. The nighttime EV level may need to be adjusted. Have to consider also that most of the videos you see online are in the city with a good deal of ambient light. That's not so out here in the country. Going to play with it some when I get a chance to get some nighttime city views to see how it looks. This is just me backing out of the bay and turning around to park the truck so not much but gives you an idea.
