Wow, ARB's application guide is confusing. I know there are several threads on the topic but I am super paranoid about getting the correct part. The application guide says:

RD111 for 3.91 and up ( I assume up as in higher gear and not numerically???)
RD121 for 3.73 and down ( I assume down as in lower gear and again, not numerically?)

Anyhow the dealer I bought my 2nd gen from tells me it is equipped with 4.11's and I want to get 4.88's and lockers. Has anybody gone through this before?

    Workin' on it....
Do you have a manual trans or a 4 cylinder? Pretty sure the autos in second gens are 3.73 in V6.

I have an automatic with V6 (2014). Yokem Toyota in Shreveport told me I had 4.11's based on VIN.

The higher the number the lower the gearset, and vice versa.
ARB offers two part numbers because there is what is called a "brake" between gearsets which means that the mounting flange on the center section is in different places for the part # due to the thickness of the gearset.

Like tacovrd said if you have a 4cyl, you have 4.11's if it's a v6 you have 3.73's.

4.88's are a very low gearset, like for 35in and up tires.

If your serious about regearing call ECGS and they will talk you thru your needs and what you should use.

Like TACOVRD stated, 2nd gen V6 trucks came with 3.73. The 4cyl came with 4.10s. I don't think they have a 4.11 for our trucks.
