05 are notorious for HG problems because they had a shitty design that got remedied for 06-15. I’ve read a bunch of HG threads because of this, and so far my symptoms mirror what other people have.
really whatever is cheapest. I’m going to go to the shop this morning and talk with them and show them some pics and figure something out.

You have evidence of cross contamination? White smoke exhaust? Volcano radiator while running with the cap off?

Haven’t run really any tests yet, just going off symptoms. I just don’t want to ignore the problem anymore, whatever may be causing it.

You won't always get that stuff. You can have a very minor leak that never shows those signs. I have seen them where only taking a 5 gas analyzer showed the exhaust gasses coming out of the radiator all other methods of testing showed good.

Just so you know I don't loose any coolant but during the winter when running the heat I could hear the coolant in my heater core moving through it like rushing water sound only under acceleration though.

Yea its never an exact science, and the indicators are shared by many issues. My 92 T4R had a super obvious head gasket failure.

So did one of my old cars milkshake in the oil and white smoke for days. You should go to an NHRA event sometime and see the colostomy bag they empty on the top fuel and funny cars. They lift the heads on the burn out and just pump oil and water through the engine to the bladder.

You can make anything fit into/onto anything with enough force and lubricant.

I was driving circa 2004 when I noticed my temp pegged out. Pulled over, popped hood, noticed empty reservoir, took a sweatshirt and popped the rad cap off and montezuma's revenge came rocketing out of it. Took me 4 days to replace the gasket, and clean/flush everything out of my loop.
