    I was gonna say...

So I found this thread from a different thread and I wanna give you some constructive criticism, as you're not quite there but you're onto something.

First off screw people who talk shit about the dryer hose... look on any real racer aside from something like an F1 car with millions to throw at full carbon ducting...

BRB gotta tell these guys that their brake system is dumb and gay... :jerkoff:
Dryer hose and other such tubing is basically the lifeblood of racers... When you need air to go a place, accept no substitute.

ANYWAYS... few pointers. Your hose end is just kinda laying there with a ragged edge and it's not in any air that's getting pushed through the grille... notice you've put it behind the air guides for the radiator. So you're just getting stale air and truthfully probably very little of it. If you wanna remove a fog light and pipe from there, now you have a hole that will get some wicked forced air. Otherwise figure out some way to suck from the grille with good airstream.

Hint: Volant already makes a scoop you could probably easily adapt to your existing setup...
    http://volant.com/viewpart.aspx?year=2018&make=Toyota&model=Tacoma&partnum=38635&cfg=4663

That brings me to the other point. If you have lots of air coming in from the front, a lot of it is just gonna flow right back out the side. If you are truly committing to this idea, plug the other hole because most air is probably just gonna whoosh in your new hole and out the old one.

20180721_224334.jpg ofcourse they can't guarantee any performance results... buddy made a mistake punching a hole in his 2018 airbox it's ok, let's not throw away logic here I think he's spent enough on this mod let's not add 152.25+tax&shipping to the bill.

maybe u should get a patent for your HomeDepot deluxe intake system and use the sales money to pay off your trucks finance note, its Space Age technology compared to the stock OEM intake

I could just imagine when the truck goes to the dealer for the 1st free oil change and the Techs see a aluminum clothes dryer hose glued to the airbox with a piece of PVC pipe stuck in there, non TRD aftermarket? intake system? Warranty VOIDED and a laugh for the next 6 months at something as dumb as this someone did to a brand new truck

This isn’t going to void his warranty. Yes the techs will laugh, but there is literally nothing negative it can do to the truck since the “mod” is pre air filter. The ECU can handle the change in airflow no problem. I’m pretty sure it will cause decreased air flow due to the turbulence of two perpendicular inlets, but I doubt the loss will be noticeable.

if the Modification causes failure, yes then they can void warranty.glueing a PVC drain pipe into a perfectly fine air intake system then stuffing it with a clothes dryer aluminum hose could possibly cause failure because its not part of the OEM intake design.heres a little issue that arose when someone did a more refined deck plate modification to their stock airbox so anything could happen https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/problems-after-deck-plate-mod-please-help.223351/
