Looks like Reals Tire Service in RR gets great Yelp reviews, so I'll check 'em out.

install and balance. I'm sure they have a balancing machine. Just wished they also do road forced balancing.

I just learned the condenser for the a/c is leaking :(

My factory warranty expired about 4k miles ago :boom:

Im waiting for the quote for repair :bananadead:

Edit: Its not the evaporator or the compressor so I should be about between 400-800 bucks parts and labor from what I can tell. Could have been worse I think... removed some flaming bananas due to this

friend turned me onto a book called "The Mechanic's Tale"...basically a year by year journal from an F1 mechanic during the early and mid-90s. Steve Matchett is the author...also did "Life in the Fast Lane" which is recount of his 1994 season with Benneton. i was never really into auto racing, but am totally hooked after spending 3 weeks listening to and reading these 2 books. highly recommend for any of you who might take pleasure in spinning a wrench.

Yeah, I need balancing as well. Cheapy trailer wheels and Carlisle tires, prolly both made in China, aren't exactly perfect...

Well, the trailer is a Kendon, and they used to sell them with two radials and a bias ply, despite everyone and their mother knowing not to mix radials and bias ply. I had the bias ply on a few years back, after a flat running through Dallas, and the profile on it had such a high center that it wore away some of the brake wiring. I talked to the Kendon prez, who sent me a new wiring kit and a check to buy a radial. They now sell trailers with three radials...

GOOOD LAWD! The new refrigerant used by Toyota in the 3rd gen tacos is $18 buck an ounce and you need 19 ounces!!! That R-1234yf is spendy af!!! Costs almost as much as the condenser... le sigh :spending:
