Got this off Amazon for $25. It's a genuine Toyota product intended for a Lexus (I believe). It's a tad smaller than I'd like, but once I drove with it some, I really like it. Definitely like the looks better than stock knob!

Interesting. How are you holding the boot up, in place?

You have to cut the bottom flange off the grommet though.

Thanks! I like doing things differently. That's why my truck still has the chrome grill and silver (gunmetal) Level 8 wheels. I'm keeping my silver sky metallic theme going and not blacking out everything else (though black wheels and such do look good on them too).

Thanks to viewing posts here on Tacoma World I learned there’s a location underneath the center console to store my pen.

I store my pen there too, but some say it was made to store the spare key.

I appreciate that information. I’ll give the spare key a try, but I’m sure I’ll keep my pen there.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Well, I felt badly about not having any pics up, so I went out to the parking lot at lunchtime. You'll have to forgive my lack of photographic skills and the fact she needs a bath:

    20180723_121945B.jpg

Nothing special. I intend on staying on the road as much as possible, hence the wheel and tire combination (tires are 265/70R17 btw). I went with 4-runner wheels to keep the tires within the wheel wells, also I didn't want to have to deal with lifting at this time. The chrome center caps were a goof on my part. The wheels were late in arriving and I already had an appointment set up for wheels, tires, exhaust, and shocks/struts. I took the wheels straight to the powder-coater without opening the boxes, forgetting that the center caps were plastic. Bit of a surprise when I went to pick up the wheels and they handed me a small bundle, which was the center caps. There wasn't time to do anything about it (like paint them), so I just went with it. Once I saw them mounted, I didn't think it looked that bad. The chrome center caps kinda' tie the wheels in with the rest of the chrome (I'm not chrome averse). I need to try the oem mudflaps to check for rubbing (looks like it will be close).

Installed LED bed lights this morning so it's easier to see under the tonneau. Comes on anytime the cargo light is on. LED strips having a bit of trouble sticking but should be able to fix that.

Bilstein 5100 at the 3rd setting (1.1") on the front and Bilstein 5100 on the rear as well with nothing added.

May be just a tad front high, wondering if it would be worth it to put a 1" block in the back or not.

The 5100's made the biggest difference in the world to me, bumps/driving is just so much smoother.

Yeah... I wouldn’t put the spare key there. That would just make it easier to steal your truck. :D Most folks use it for the tailgate key.

More like the tailgate key... unless you want your truck stolen :D

Tailgate key? I installed a pop-n-lock (so I haven't used the tailgate lock in ever), but I thought that the main key is what also locks/unlocks the tailgate lock?
