nope, never use high beams. I also hate other drivers that just drive with them on.

I don't use it/ don't like it. Waits too long to switch to low beam for my liking.

I tried it last night for about 30 minutes. Mine initially seemed opposite of yours. It kinda was waiting too long to switch to high beams. Will try it again tonight and see how it works. Thanks!

For my farm I bought a bare bones new $22,000 Tacoma. There isn't a more stripper model. I have to use a key to open the door from driver side. Pass side can't even be opened with a key as there is no key hole there.

However, Toyota decided to throw in lane departure, adaptive cruise control, and Auto High Beams in the stripper model.... I can't open my rear glass, and have no rear seats, but I can tell the car measured in feet, how to follow the car in front of me automatically, while it automatically decides when to turn on high beams :D

You don't have to deal with it. Its an option with an on off button on the dash. I personally have not used it, I am really good about switching off my "highs".

Does seem like a cool feature though, I will have to give it a shot.

I am coming from a dated 1st gen and don't have even one complaint about TSS. The only thing it did was warn me to brake one time when an dumb ass decided to stop in the middle of the road to read a street sign. Came up on him fast, got the warning just as my foot was braking.

In my father’s tundra with auto high beams, I only really use it through a windy canyon road, or an unlit back road if you have those (not many in SoCal, OC).
I find it works pretty well, some cases where it doesn’t turn off/on fast enough, but I’ll just manually do it if I think it’s not making the right choice.

In suburban or city areas, I find that they switch on/off too much with the streetlights, road lamps, and the increased amount of cars on the roads.
Then again I don’t use high beams in those areas anyhow so, it stays off.

Push the button to turn it off if you don't like it. Problem solved.

Tss ain't bad. I wouldn't even consider another truck without it. Several road trips already this summer and I couldn't imagine having to use cruise control the hard way anymore.

My auto high beams are pretty good. I live in a very rural part of PA with almost zero lighting on the highways, let alone the back roads. It’s easy to drive somewhere at night for long enough to forget that your high beams are on, and it’s nice that the system turns them off for me if I forget.

I’ve tried using it a few times, but find it mostly worthless. If there’s a bend in the road or even a hill, it takes too long to dim. And if a house along the road has an outside light on it will dim the headlights when there’s no reason to.

I live on top of a dark hill (no street lights), with tons of curves. I will try on way home today, since I got the truck back from the farm.

It doesnt work well at low speeds. It shuts them off but then close up to oncoming traffic turns them on again. Makes you look like an asshole trying to blind people.
