Damn son...I think you NEED the hd springs. How much does your bed sag when you got it fully loaded?

Ok, Definitely get the HD packs, 350lbs makes them ride pretty smooth especially with Hammer hangers and cross tube, and I have put 800 lbs in the bed and they handle the weight well.

To add to that...some bedstiffeners by the tailgate may not hurt either.

Another update to this batch currently shipping is an increase in thickness of the bottom angle plate to .3125" from .25", and still made out of higher strength 50,000 psi steel (normal A36 structural steel is only 36,000psi)

This update is for max resistance to bending, about 25% increase, and max improvement in ride quality. No one has bent one, just something I wanted to do, Archive is committed to continual improvement.

Edit 8/22/18: I've found a way to go back to 1/4" on future batches while having about the same strength as heavier 5/16", by adding a stiffening bend to the leading edge

I got my hammer hangers installed yesterday at my buddies fab shop. He used an angle grinder to cut off the rivets and an HD air hammer to bang em out. The whole install took a few hours for him.
I havent taken the truck offroad yet after the HH install but just from driving on the street I can immediately tell the improvement in ride quality. Its the real deal guys! I run my springs SOA with stock shackles with OME Dakar ELO96R HD leaf pack and gained about 3/4 inch lift with a constant 400lbs load. I highly recommend these hangers from Archive Garage.

Thank you for the review @doubletap, glad to hear the HH achieved that better ride, I do get a good feeling when I hear they are working.
It's funny on the HH especially, it is a bit hard to believe the claim of ride improvement, I myself was shocked when I first put them on my own truck.

Just a note, the recent price increase for HH is due to the recent significant spike in steel cost. I hope the spike in steel cost helps the American steel companies become more profitable, because I like buying quality American made steel and products. It bothers me a lot that inferior foreign "goods" are sold so easily, and I think it has brought a degradation of quality in many markets. I am committed to delivering quality and continuously improving quality.

No prob! It’s a big improvement for my truck. Especially because my stock hangers were bent so bad my truck wasn’t driving driving straight and kept pulling to the left. I even took my truck to a reputable alignment shops who deals specifically with lifted vehicles and no alignment shop could fix it. After the HH install the truck drives straight again. It feels good now to load up my bed and not worry about bent hangers and the truck not driving straight anymore.

Just an FYI if you’re running Deaver leafs, maybe opt for different length shackles as the stocks don’t seemed work well. Truck was put on a lift for tire rotation and was lowered down and the shackles were stuck rotated down. Easy fix but shouldn’t be happening. The dealership was able to drive it like this which leads me to believe it was pretty locked up.

I recommend putting limit straps on it then. Or maybe you could put a plastic block were the shackle contacts the hanger to keep it from rotating down that far. The Deavers are long and the main leaf is being pinched between the hangers.
Do you have the standard U402 expo? Or something else.

    EDIT:
The real reason for this issue has nothing to do with Hammer hangers, they do their job to increase droop over stock hangers.

You are getting excessive droop because of your shock relocation, either its DESIGN OR THE INSTALL are allowing excessive droop.

That brand relocation puts the top shock eye ~3.8" lower than the Archive relocation does, but the King 2.0x12 is only 1" shorter collapsed than a 2.5x12.
That means you are either bottoming out your shocks or you have spaced your bump stops by several inches.

(I have a right to explain why something is happening, especially when my products have been accused of causing an issue. This is not an attack, merely a factual explanation.)

So just limit the pack to when the shackles start flipping downward? I’ve got a custom pack built around a U402.

Yes. Sometimes Deaver makes packs less arch as weight capacity goes up, normal leaf spring methodology.

Finally was able to get out and use mine this last week up in the mountains. No issues at all. Running 4xInnovations stock length shackles and Deaver U402 Expedition 3 leaf packs with 3 degree shims. As a side note, curious what the two holes in the rear of the hammers are for? Thanks for a great product!

Thank you for the support, and you are welcome. So the 2 holes on back of hangers are there because I wanted to make mud flap arms

Did my shock relocation this week. I have the HH and Dakars and did notice this lockout when I stripped the leaf down to cycle for my relocation. I haven’t had the relocation on the trails yet, so I cannot say if the issue will continue. It didn’t seem to happen when I was putting the truck back together and off the jack stands.

    @kceastsparks @desertjunkie760 @hoarder23 @tubbsisland
So I'm open to ideas on how to prevent the shackle from locking down, besides limit straps. The Hammer hanger improved geometry let's the shackle get horizontal, allowing more droop, while the stock and other brand hangers do not let the shackle pivot down unless you have shorty Dakars (they bind the main leaf though separating the leaves).

And I have to be careful putting a bent up flange so the lower leaves dont catch.

The stock shackles are more likely to have this happen to a worse degree because it is narrower.
