With winters/snow/ice....I'm thinking soft may not quite cut it.

He get's more snow there than I do here in Maryland. It melts faster but still.

That one you posted is marine grade vinyl too. Why I suggested the American brand. Same thing for less.

    https://www.autoanything.com/tonneau-covers/american-tonneau-tri-fold-tonneau-cover

I think we have an Auto Anything vendor on here too. Might be able to get a discount. There are some reviews here that might have snow reports.

Personally, even though my buddy endorsed this version I was skeptical, as you say of the snow and ice. Why I went with a hard version. If you don't care about how low profile it is, those tri or quad folding poly covers are nice. They all fold up against the cab which is why I said quad, when it folds it will leave some of the view open. The tri folding ones almost always block it completely.

Also, not sure how appealing this is but most big box stores, or Amazon sell a snow broom device. Soft foam and extendable pole. I just use a push broom on mine when the snow is wet and heavy and deep. I go out after a couple hours and brush it off. It has had over 8" on it though.

Auto anything had a 21% off coupon code running around not sure if it expired already or not but they come around every few weeks.

Edit: found it, flash22 saves 22% on most items. Some might not be applicable.

I went with a Truxedo truxport and have been happy for $200, but if I had to do it again I would get something nicer just for the fact that it would be more secure. I would love to keep my fishing stuff back there full time but I don't trust someone not to steal it. It is water tight though.

Yea, I rarely keep anything in the back of value but because I do sometimes and park in a public garage at work, I wanted total security without spending a fortune. Mine rolls up far enough to get a motorcycle in the back and still not block the rear view mirror. With the tailgate latch locked it is nearly impenetrable.

Well, check out the second link that I double quoted you and @Wallbright on.

But here are links to each at the manufacturers websites. So you can really compare. Seems the main differences are vinyl covered aluminum and vinyl covered abs.

    https://www.tonnopro.com/cms/hardfold

    http://www.americantonneaucompany.com/content/hdtrifoldtonneau

Things to look for are the materials, the way they are put together and attach, do they come off completely easily if wanted. Warranty.

Thanks for including both links. I like the bulb like weatherstripping on the Tonneau Pro versus the flat weatherstripping on the American.

    Warranty is similar for both.
