Wasn't why I post article but its there given this piece of it.
The sheriff said he regularly counts roughly 200 vehicles making the journey from Red Mountain Pass, between Ouray and Silverton, to Telluride along the roughly 10 mile drive on weekend days.

Anyone have any good thoughts on a fun vehicle replacement for my old Cougar? Two vehicles I've wanted for different reasons, an 80 series Cruiser, or a TJ. I can't think of a decent 4 seater car. Also want something with a decent aftermarket. One the the Cougar wasn't was a Mustang, so parts for it could be a pain.

He said 4 seater, fun, with a decent aftermarket. Tacoma's get plenty of lightbars, too, ya know.

Speaking of the area... See the shit storm going down right now on the antisocial media?

A person driving a fabrication company built rig covered in its stickers decided to not only drive off trail, up waterfalls and rivers, but then posted it on the gram...in video form...more than once.

They weren't officially part of the fj summit, but everyone is becoming a P.I. to try and make sure justice is served.

Expedition Colorado, Colorado FJ Cruisers and a few other pages i reckon. The poor FS, SO, Stay the Trail are going to have a lot of voicemails and emails to go through tomorrow.

Company and rig are from out of state...

Local SO's FS and BLM are getting pretty tired of this sort of behavior. So far, every instance this year has been resulted in drivers/riders identified and charged. Social media has been the main factor in id and discovery.

Rightfully so. Just wish they would have more resources to do the same statewide.

IMO, there should be a ranger sitting at hanging lake with a rifle picking off people who ignore the signs, jump the chains, ignore more signs and then go out on the log. But the areas will just get ruined then shut down instead.
