265/65/17 vs 265/70/17 Fit

Will 265/65/17, 265/70/17 fit on my '09 4x4 SR5 that came with 245/75/16 tires? Have everything all lined up, just need to pick a tire size. Suggestions welcome.

 

Yes, they will fit.

However there is a chance that the 265/70/17s may rub your mudflaps when in the fully turned position, depending on the rims' offset.

 

I will be running on stock 17" TRD rims... not sure what the offset is on those.

 

General Grabber AT2 or Yokohama Geolander A/TS. Both good tires for general on/off road.
Present experience with the Yokohama works great in wet conditions, handles well in black ice conditions, very well in light mud and trails. A good handling, quiet tire on the road. Seems to hold up pretty well long term as I have about 20,000k with minimal wear.
As to the General Grabber I don't have quite the experience but do have a buddy who swears by them. Although they are just slightly more noisy on road. They do have deep cleats and wear great. Both tires are very well priced compared to some others. Check out The Tire Rack for more info on either.

you should be good with 265/70/17...again it depends on offset, and rim width
