What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

It went it really easy, even by myself. Sounds pretty good from outside, it is louder than I expected in the cabin. Just not used to it. I took it for a spin, and with windows down I barely noticed the cabin noise. Sounds pretty good at WOT though.

I placed my order like a month before we left Hawaii so it would be ready. It actually got to me in about a week.

 

I have read enough bad experiences people have had with dealers here on TW to believe I am lucky, and the exception to the norm. I guess I am fortunate that my service department has provided great service. They have done TSBs, safety recalls, third brake light issues, fluid levels, they programmed my Lexus card for free after I bought it from their parts department at lowest internet price. They have never questioned any of my complaints, they just fix it. The service manager always stops by and talks to me when I am in for service. They have never balked about doing anything because of mods I have done.

I think it cause I always bring in a couple dozen donuts for the staff whenever the truck is in for service.

 

There is no such thing as the good old days. Non existent. Would I go back there? No way. There is today to make a story. The story will float on its own over time.

Yeah can’t complain. I’m not into washing truck often. My wife was bummed when we sold the 4 runner. She asked Ford dealership if they offered free car washes. They looked at her like she was a crack head.

 

Holy crap that's quick they must of had some done.

 

I’ve been looking to get a used 1up rack for over a year and today I finally found one. Got it for close to half off MSRP. Yeah, I’m a bit frugal. Wasn’t always this way but the ball and chain has taught me well. Lol

My 17' Sport has a separate key and will ultimately be replaced with the popnlock.

 

I've seen some guys park over a water sprinkler to clean the underside Rob. You can also cut that pipe farther up closer to the axle, just behind it where it's still pointing down. Then its completely out of the way. They can get pretty mangled and even jammed up in the leaf spring or into the rear wheel. I'm ultimately cutting mine off as far up as I can. Just sayin'.

 

Where did you get the hood decal? Been contemplating one in a medium shade of grey for my ‘coma OR

Started the patch collection with all the patches I aquired from my most recent deployment that helped me pay for this beast!

 

I got my blacked out headlights from @no vtec 4me today, just waiting to have time to install them. They look great, I can't wait to get them on.

 

Glad to see some of his work getting exposure. That very well could be my old stock Sport headlights.
