Discount Tire managed to reset my TPMS threshold and seems oblivious as to how to change it. Anyone got any tips I can give them?

Don't you just press the TPMS button (either in the glovebox or under the steering wheel) to reset the threshold?

I think you have to hold it down for 10 seconds. I saw the how to in the user manual.

I gotcha. I think most of the traffic just wasn't smart enough to get back on the freeway at the Kittitas exit. How's the fire now? I'm heading through again on Wednesday.

    Not much, yet.
There's an elevated bracket in front of the tent. It's cumbersome and tall as shi* but works. Beats hauling a trailer around for the canoe.

    Well we did this.

Decided we want to do a road trip in the not-to-distant future and figured a trailer would be better than a tent for the whole time. Plus we can leave the dog inside if we go out.

I like that a lot because it's easier to get the bottom secure.

I've seen this done before on here. It was a dark blue truck, if anyone else has seen it and could link it here...

I like the idea, and it was pretty clean looking

Pretty sure I saw one of those this past weekend in Leavenworth. They look neat, but I'd personally prefer one that has a Westfalia style of hinge to open the roof instead of a hinge across the front of the camper. I personally wouldn't like having to unload the boat every time I wanted to sleep, hence the teardrop. The bed is always made and ready, all I have to do is open the door and climb in. :)

That was probably me you saw.

You can mount a kayak on top and still open it up - @Overlanerd has a photo showing that off.

Were you coming into Leavenworth from the east on Saturday? I was making the left to go to Plain. I had the yellow canoe, we'd left the trailer at camp. I've talked with OverlaNERD when he was still fitting out his original camper. Kayaks aren't usually a problem depending on how far forward over the truck cab that the camper extends. Usually the longer kayaks are transported upright and curve away from the vehicle. Canoes are typically transported upside down and curve towards the truck which interferes with the hood or windshield. I'll see if I can find a pic that illustrates the issue. It's not the end of the world and the teardrop is working out great for us.

edit - doh, if you look at my sig line you'll see what I mean. The hinge for the camper would have to be forward of the driver's head (probably just behind the top of the windshield) to avoid interfering with the hood.

Yeah not much of a secret these days. I've been using it for some time. Found a 5th wheel septic dump hose one time. People get desperate and will drag anything through that road.
