Oh yeah, it is always a bad idea to work super late into the night, or technically super early in the morning. Costly mistakes are bound to happen.

I have been wanting to Dyno this thing for a while but I can't seem to find a good shop in my area that does that, but I anticipate around 330-350 HP to the wheels.

Having only seen the rack for a couple of hours, I'm quickly running out of juice and I'm waiting for the brown truck to bring my digital boost gauge so I can replace this mechanical one before I call it a day. Pics will have to wait till another day.

Was hoping to get enough rest to head out for a thanksgiving celebration involving some coyotes in the morning.

If when all is said and done and on a cool night in Phx I'm making 310-320 rwhp I'll be just peachy.

This pic has so much light reflection on it, it's a little hard to see, but the first red line closest to the pulley-just a little behind it is where the snap in retainer is and the beginning of the plate with bearings behind it. The Second red line is where the silver stripe starts that was referenced as a place to trim the snout to. You can see the slight silver mark coinciding with that on the top of my snout where I started to use the sawzall. Sure glad I didn't continue with that idea. I'd of had a genuine mess. A few washers behind the pullies below and it lines up and so far no issues. In total I'm not sure that I trimmed more then 3/8" off the snout.
You can see in the second pic that the pulley hangs out about 1/16". I'd prefer it to bein on the shaft that much, but the lack of metal in front of that snap in retainer made me nervous enough I opted to leave it where it's at.sc snout-pulley 001.jpg

Ya'll might want to reference where your proper trim line is before you go all out on the trimming procedure. As an fyi-the URD snout trimming tool and pulley install tool are now listed for sale in the FS section. HALF PRICE!!

As an aside, per the sticky on our trannies, it mentioned cleaning the TB and maf sensor well and adding some "Lubegaurd" to your trans if having some shift issues. I have tried that, and although the afr gauge still shows a brief moment of 9.4 right before the shift happens, I can't feel the flare in the trans like it was before. We will see.
I also got the ovtuner and when trying to install the TRD tune into it to send to OV it didn't work. They responded and said my ecm is currently not supported and they will shoot me the file when it is. Bummer!!

    Interesting!

I don't have an AFR gauge in my truck, but I suspect with the stock 3 inch pulley and TRD tune I am wayyyy rich.

I get wicked black smoke, especially cold. So much so that my bed side has a blacl film.

Mine is 2015, Manual. A million projects so I have not gotten around to many things I wan't to do yet.

A URD 2.8 yes. A quick change that size, no.

is there instructions somewhere on how to install this quick change piece? Starting to get the itch to increase boost. . .from the 3.0 pulley.

Thinking this with a 2.8 (so I can keep the same belt size)

(I skimmed through this so if I missed it in the thread, just say so and I'll go back through slower)

There are no instructions really. I'm sure you could find a good how to with a Google search, but even then it may not be applicable to our style press on blower pulley's.

Your could always just buy my leftover 2.8 URD pulley and give it a shot. $65 to your door.

I'm curious how much hp add from 2.7 to the 2.5 pulley?

Also, for the 12 TRD taco man, has your taco had any issues with running the 2.5 pulley?
