I am partial to Natives. Lately these are the ones I wear, Dash SS. They are polarized & come with yellow & clear lens & nice case for $59 from REI outlet. Probably not the best sunglasses but best for me, light & a small/med frame

I used to wear whatever was cheapest. No way in hell I'm paying $100 or more for glasses that are gonna break when I sit on them, drop them, or the kids play with them. Not unless they have a lifetime warranty with free replacement! Might think about it then. Now I have prescription lenses so I'm just sticking with those for now. :D

I all about my Arnette Rage-Matte Black. I had a pair of Nike interchangeable lens in high school- Dropped a book on them and the shattered- So I bought the Arnettes...and now- 8 years later- I've had a few pairs.

One for work and riding the motorcycle-One for wearing out at the moment.

Oh ya...I've got my super schweet gov't issue aviators too.

I prefer Oakleys... or Wiley X. I had both in Iraq in 2005 and they were great... Still have em and wear them almost daily. They still look and work like new. :)

    Good luck!

I've been enjoying my Costa del Mar's for a couple years. I was doing the oakley thing for about 10 years because I was able to get them for half price and free repairs, but they're not really my style any more (now that they're full price.)

I prefer Smith for my winter optics. I was always against Oakley's because they are overpriced but thanks to steepandcheap.com, backcountryoutlet.com, whiskeymilitia.com and shop/pro form they are affordable. I have a pair of Dragon Fastbacks and Smith VooDoos. I like my Oakley Gasket prescriptions and I own 3 pair of Smith Prodigy snow goggles. I would wear the Gascans and maybe Twitches. The ski shop I work at carries Oakley and Spy and the Oakleys get nothing but positive feedback. Probably the best option for shootingsports or where ANSI is required. Best factory service too, almost no questions asked unless some joker brings in Foakleys.
My girlfriend is studying optometry and worked at a clinic that swore by the Maui Jim's and I must admit they are nice. They don't look cool at all but they certainly fulfill the function of "the best sunglasses."

I'm a huge fan of Serengeti. The lenses are absolutely unparalleled for clarity, the glare is completely irradicated, they have an anti-reflective coating on the backside so you never see your own face reflected back at you, and you can wear them indoors and in darker-lit areas without a problem. But they do have a tendency to fall off in any active situation...

So I wear the Serengetis when I drive and my North Face glasses when I'm out and about. Those suckers are bulletproof.

I actually wear an old crappy flying fisherman polarized but I would like to get some prada sunglasses, they are so nice, so fashion but so much expensive:(, unfortunately they aren't polarized too...

I've always worn Dragons. Currently have a pair of box frames
    [IMG]
Had 2 pairs before these, broke an arm off of one pair jumping out of a car on a lift, then fully killed them when I lost my temper after my bike broke down and they met the pavement. Other pair got ripped off.

Cheap ones as long as they are polarized. Polarized is good for fishing. :D

I break, scratch, loose, sit on, drop too many pairs of sunglasses to own an expensive pair. I did own some Oakleys long ago. Heart breaking to spend big jack on sunglasses only to accidently break them.

Bass pro is where I buy mine now. Occasionally Wally Mart.

I've never worn the Maui Jems, so I'm afraid I can't give you any comparison. But I guarantee that you'll never find a problem with a Serengeti lense. My dad first started wearing them when he was in college; when his Air Force buddies couldn't get official aviator glasses for him anymore he found the best alternative around. Not much has changed in thirty years.
