So found out the ironworker union in cali starts apprentices at $23/hr. That’s bottom of the barrel in a craft I already know so I could test out sooner.

I would definitely apply when you're there and explain the situation so they don't assume you applied at the wrong place.

 

Ask around the NorCal thread, maybe someone knows someone or places that you could check out. There’s a few welders and tradesmen in there.

 

Make sure you say cali sucka, Texas is best! Then ask for help

 

Or, stop shaving and showering, walk around barefoot, get a vw bus paint some tie-dye on it and change your name to willow.
