Put 255/85/16s on stock OR wheels and suspension

Do you think I can fit Toyo Open Country to my stock wheels 2016 inferno, 255/85/16?? your truck look awesome.

 

You ought to be able to fit those no problem, assuming your truck is an OR

Mine is a 2017 DCSB OR with stock OR wheels and an ARB OME 2.25 lift with Dakar springs in back. I have no rubbing what so ever with the 255 85R16 ST MAXXs. That's with no spacers. I love it, have gotten plenty of compliments and wouldn't change a thing.

 

Put on some Dick Cepek Extreme countrys over the weekend. Had my mud flap rubbing on the tire but I think a quick zip tie took care of that.

They are 16x7, they are essentially the same size of the stock 16 inch wheels. These have 5mm less offset then stock. Which pulls the skinny tire out a little bit.

 

I don't remember if it's been posted in this thread yet but the 4Runner TRD Pro SEMA 17"x7" wheels WILL FIT.

Tires: 255/80/17 Toyo Open Country AT2
Wheels: 4Runner TRD Pro SEMA 17"x7" with +4mm Offset
Suspension: Stock 2018 Off-Road Suspension

Here's where the new tires would rub if there were no mudflaps. This is plastic that could easily be trimmed. The little overhang you see there needs about .5" taken off of it for the tires to clear. This only happens on the passenger side.


Lots of clearance from UCA. I believe a smaller spacer wouldn't have an issue clearing if you wanted a more aggresive stance. I will update on that though, because that's a mod I am interested in doing. Next comes 6112's and AAL's.

Got a set of 255/85-16 st maxx for FJ summit a few weeks ago. They rub on my mudflaps but as far as I can tell that's it. Highly recommend.

Sweet build!! loos super good, this is what I have been considering for aftermarket wheels. Method MR301, they have both a 16x7 and a 16x8. The 16x7 interest me the most. There is some debate on ideal rim width for these tires. I have heard that going with to wide of a rim can result in loss of bead. I also don't want to push the tire sidewall out to much and really like the looks of them on my 7" wide rim. So here is the kicker on the 16x7-method has it labeled as a trailer rim. The 16x7 shares identical specs except for the load. The 16x7 is rated at 3600lbs and the 16x8 is rated at 2,100 lbs

 

I put the 255's on my stock off road and it looks great. Now, I'm wanting to do a suspension lift. Will I need anything besides spacers? As far as I know, I don't rub right now but I haven't done any extreme off roading. I want to go with the Tacoma world starter pack(ome springs, 5100's, and Dakar's) on my truck. Any advice?

 

I'd just watch out for the potential rub on your UCAs. That was the issue I ran into, spacers fixed it right up

 

Did you run stock or after market? What lift did you run?
