It is hard to tune because the shock is working twice as hard. Standard rear shock works close to a 1:1 ratio, meaning around 1” of shock for every 1” of wheel travel. Cantilever works at 2:1 which means it’s compression must work twice as hard to stop the wheel. Less shock travel=less shock tuning capability. An expert shock tuner can overcome the difference but like you said it is harder.

Side note: it’s too bad this thread has so much useless info because there are very knowledgeable people who don’t even look here anymore lol

I hear what you're saying about knowledgeable people that used to post on here, but implying it's because of useless info being posted is kind of like saying it's kids' faults if they get in trouble when their parents leave them unsupervised lol. People can't just stay silent until someone knowledgeable decides to come back and I still get good info occasionally when / if I post here I believe. Not everyone is lucky enough to grow up around fabricators I guess so they gotta learn somewhere and somehow even if it's dumbed down and / or incorrect compared to what experts know for awhile :notsure:

A leaf spring truck maybe 1:1 but a normal link truck is around 2:1. The issue with tuning a cantilever setup is a lot of the time they are built wrong and go into a falling rate or don't get progressive enough with the ratio.

No reason you couldn't after getting the correct shaft, seal head and cap. At that point you would be better off buying actual bumps

I wouldn’t do it. You can pick up brand new 2.0” bumps for a deal these days. I see them for $300 in new condition with cans fairly often.

Take your wallet, and throw it as hard as you can at the back window. Oh and wish with all your might.

Wallet is pretty empty and light at the moment. Don't know what that would do other than make me go pick it up

Theres your issue... Get the wallet as heavy as possible so every time you throw it, you break something, forcing you to replace (upgrade) it.
