My software update went just fine also. Completed in about 3 minutes.

Are you in an area with good mobile data coverage, or wifi?

Yes, I get 3 - 4 bars of cell coverage according to my phone (T-Mobile), so I would assume whatever mechanism the truck audio system uses to update also has reasonable "access".

I am not 100% sure but I think the OTA update through entune software on your phone may be different from the one downloaded from the toyota site and loaded onto USB. I got the update through entune this morning and applied it before I left for work. When I got to work I downloaded the file from Toyota and loaded it on USB and performed that update also. I am not sure what the difference is, but even after doing the OTA this morning the software version on the audio system was lower than what I downloaded from the Toyota site.

Seems like something is up since I did the OTA update... Now I'm randomly dropping calls, or somehow the connection between my phone and the radio gets messed up. Today it was showing me an incoming call from my own phone number, and when I looked at my phone, which was in the cup holder, it was trying to video call a friend of mine, via Facebook messenger...

The over the air update is different than the update on the entune site. The OTA update is for apps. The entune download via the site is for the headunit itself.

Initially my attempts to update failed, tried a usb formatted in NTFS, FAT, then.........
I used a fat32 formatted usb and pulled the NAV Map SD Card and it installed as expected. If you have nav I’d recommend pulling the SD card before firing up the truck and/or inserting the usb w/ entune update.

    Audio should read 010192.

Was able to update via USB to 010192. Have Navigation package and I did not have to pull the microsd card out. Thanks for the heads up.

Your signature video is exactly what happened to me as soon as I did this update.

Just started having rebooting issues yesterday. It's done it 3 times on 2 short (12 mile) trips. I downloaded the update but turns out it is the same as what I have installed - 01092

EDIT: 'rebooting issue' is not exactly correct. The radio beeps once, then freezes and a timer starts counting up seconds. Pressing and holding the power button will reboot it and it is ok again for awhile.

Interesting, I thought the phone app did both apps and the head unit OS. I will have to check it out tonight, good tip man! Can anyone else confirm this to be the case before I can try the USB method tonight?

To everyone who is updating entune in hopes that " fixes" are fixed, I wouldnt update to the latest firmware as it has caused my radio frequencies to be not near as clear as they were before the update! This is my 2 cents !
