Because they are cheap. They also got rid of the clock below the radio.

Why would you need the clock below the radio when the radio displays the time?

Adding temperature and compass is very easy and fairly inexpensive. I added an auto-dimming mirror with homelink, compass and outside temp for under $300.

I see you have a 2015 so you are correct. I have a 2014 and would miss the clock.

I have a smart phone that tells me the temp says effin hot. But on a real note I don't have navigation with mine but on home screen top left has a window for weather. Shows the local temp for the area I'm in not instant temp like temp/compass..I hate it

I guess we should just get a weather thermometer and stick it to one of the pillars. Haha!

Would be nice. I think I'll stick to my senses and live without a temp. display on mine.

Just traded my 05 OR for a 15 OR and knew it had no outside temp display, but I see there is still the temperature sending unit mounted in front of the radiator. Anyone know if it is functional, and can I get the data to display anywhere, maybe on the NAV screen or thru the OBD on my Ultragauge?

My 2015 has the compass built in, I love it off road. Makes working with my navigator all that much easier.

Navigator - 'We should be heading south'

Derpie me 'Yep we are' :cookiemonster:
