Totally agree!! Third World Country, they don't just junk stuff at the first problem. Look at all of those 50's cars in Cuba. Many do not have any original drive train.

 

Older than CJ5/CJ7 era, front clip is anything from WWII through the 50's.

 

Mine was to the other extreme. I'd been drinking Mezcal Tequila in Rocky Point Mexico Memorial Day weekend 1990. Woke up face first in the sand around 10am with only my shorts on. Quads and ATV's buzzing by me. No clue were my truck was and no keys. Hot as hell hung over with a pounding headache, sunburned and thirsty. Took me about 20min to even recall what direction camp was. Started walking towards some camp sites. They gave me some water and pointed me towards my truck. It was buried in the sand to the axles. (72 Chevy 3/4 ton 4x4 with lockers lifted 6 inches and dirty fives) Never found me keys so I hot wired it. With the help of 2 other trucks I was able to get it on top of the sand.

 

Never touched Mezcal Tequila again!

 

You say the word tequila, and I do an involuntary full body shiver. But it's only been 44 years, perhaps I'll get over it.

 

i'm finally home, had a rough day. i got a cold glass of kool-aid and sitting here lol

 

I was supposed to have the day off but got called in to work for 2 hours this morning, pretty neat

 

i just pulled a 16 hour shift. any takers to go fill in for me for tomorrow? you'll keep the days of wage and i'll buy you a pizza

 

I’ll work 13 or so tomorrow. Only supposed to be 94 so that’ll be nice.

I need my job so I can’t do that haha

 

It’s a Utah Holiday today haha

 

Depends on the rate and more importantly, what type of pizza.

 

Pizza whatever you want and it's $25 an hour but I'm in overtime now so x1.5 that.

 

Least a bit of good news my gf told me "your sister called tried to get me to watch the kids" I love her so much for responding "watch your own damn kids, your brother doesn't have the time for it"

I'm just going to go with these I think - those mismatched rubber bushings, probably just going to squeak like a banshee anyway (yes, those fit the CS046R pack perfectly as well)

 

jesus man, lol. Luckily you woke up when you did. Fortunately I was already at camp when our middle of the desert festivities started, and was in my tent when I woke up at 3am but it still sucked something fierce having to get up and wander outside to take a piss in the freezing cold with a headache the size of the desert I was in. I learned the hard way that night that you're supposed to sleep with a water bottle in your sleeping bag when it's freezing out so that you don't end up with frozen water. Not really a survival technique we Californian's are all that familiar with usually, lol.
