Unless its a truck thays getting ABSOLUTELY hammered on all that stuff is really cool, but a normal joe will never see the difference....

I apologize for the mis-wording. Mine are ISF as well, but its still a pre treating process of the materials. Still not worth it if you are going to follow the proper break in procedures. I had serious deposits in the gear oil at 1500 miles when we flushed it, noticeably more than my last truck which were not broken in correctly by any means. Pretty disappointed overall TBH.

The only place that I've found who could do the treatment here in state also do Cryogenic Treatment as the meat & potato's of their business, and they cater to the crowd that @JTB727 was talking about (that absolutely hammer their shit professionally)

no problem man! Thanks for catching my mistake. I think there were a couple other cases of lots of deposits and dirty oil upon first oil after REM polishing, but ill let those people speak up themselves. I'm sure there is a genuine benefit to the process, and I don't know if brand had anything to do with it (Yukon in the 08 and Nitro in the 17) but I really did not follow the break in on the old truck at all and the oil at 2500 miles (75% off road at speed with plenty of wheel spin) was noticeably cleaner with less deposits than the 17 was at 1500. It was shocking really.


Edit: I will note that the 08 had a fabbed 9" housing 5" wider than stock with a higher oil capacity than the stock rear end. I'm sure that played a factor as well

Anyone happen to have a set(or passenger side) of stock fogs for a Tacoma?

 

If you get FJ 16" wheels you don't have to worry about calipers fitting. Some aftermarket 16" aren't large enough. Another reason to do FJ wheels is the backspacing is correct so you don't have to run spacers. I run Toyo MT which are 33.6" Pizzacutters 255/85/16. But spare didn't fit even cutting as it rubs on the diff slightly. Toyo balance amazing at 1-3oz which is awesome for a mud tire
