Yea, even I am doubting it. Maybe it was a Pro. Maybe it was one of those nights where I was on here at 1:30 am and nodding in and out of Taco dreamland.

No such thing as a manual DCLB - Toyota doesn't build them that way.

No such thing as a DCLB Pro, either, unless they suddenly decided to add it in for 2019.

Yea, I'm sure you're right but I am also sure I saw a post recently in regard to this. My memory is usually pretty good. Does the Pro come in a DCSB w/MT ?

That I'm not sure of, but it would be highly molested if it did. Probably another one of those rare-as-hens-teeth trucks like my 2WD DCLB TRD Sport.

Might as well include my truck. Trying real hard not to trade it in for a DCSB because the DCSB might be marginally better off road. I’ll probably never know the difference, but still.

It's only a foot longer so that means you just need to go over hills faster. Seriously though. The first time you run out of room in the 6' bed you will wish they made a 7' or 8' bed truck and wonder how in the hell those SB guys get along at all.

I have a friend that answers the question "Why did you buy a 8' bed truck" with "Because they don't make a 10' bed". I've had 8' beds and that extra 2' makes the truck seriously long but when you need to load it, you stop caring.

I max mine out every time I go to the dump.

    20170805_134800.jpg

I've actually had to put a couple bags (recycling, not waste) and some cardboard in the cab a couple times.

Nope....the DCLB has never kept me from going anywhere a DCSB can go. I do have BAMF sliders and aftermarket steel skids for extra protection, and have been on some pretty hairy trails, but never had any problems. My skids and sliders have been used but my trail limo does just fine.

After seeing so many sb tacomas in my area, I'm glad I got a dclb. Hauling a dirtbike by itself or hauling two of them with the tailgate marginally closed is great.

Hindered? Well yes. It's a lot longer wheelbase and needs more space in the tight turns and will high center a lot easier in the more challenging trails. But it's upsides far outweigh its rock crawling challenges. Sliders and skids help a ton with that. DCLBFTW. IMG_3206.jpg
