The difference between the S and the classic, is the S is a split Deck. Is there anything else the sets them apart?

 

classic comes with the headboard and can run the rail kit as well like i have on mine, the s i think there is a kit you can do the same i believe if it hasnt already been released

you install riv serts into the bed and unbolt it when you want to remove.

The Bedslide website states that the 1-5839-S is what fits my truck and I would like to get the rails as well BSA-TRK5039.
It would be helpful if someone points out which of these 300 posting describes the procedure for ordering these items - coupon code(s), etc. Or how to search for this.

these dont bolt to the frame, they bolt to the bed to the slide bottom frame, you drill where you want to set the rivserts with the tool provided -- not that much to it.

You decide how you mount your slide and how to position it in the bed.

 

Forgot I saw you ask this. Been busy with work but heres some pics with measurements of usable deck space.

I bought mine used so it didnt come with the rivnuts. I chose to use bolts and washers instead of ordering the hardware kit. Shouldnt be much different than the rivnuts just harder to remove the slide if needed since the nuts I have wont stay in place like the rivnuts.
