tundras gunna be inferno also? I've seen a couple of local inferno tundras and they look awesome, even stock. while I had a couple of colors in mind for the taco, i think i would only pick inferno for the tundra (and the 4runner)

Honestly, the Tundra handles great. The Sport comes stock with the front and rear sway bars that keeps the truck planted well. Some of the bumps that would toss the Tacoma around a bit I have found the Tundra keeps a much better footing. I am sure the added weight also helps with it too. The one thing I do prefer over the Tacoma is the ride and the power although the 5.7 does like her fuel.

Definitely wanted the sipes since I'm in New England and will be driving in the snow often.

Yeah, I went with the 255/85R16 size. I have heard the Open Countrys tend to run on the larger side of the size.

I was tempted with the OVTune to see if it would help out but, I figured getting tires is safer warranty wise. Them helping smooth out the shifts was an unexpected bonus. I was getting some rubbing on my mud flaps while turning in reverse, so a quick zip tie and hopefully that'll be enough to let them stay on.

Here's a nice comparison shot of the 2

WOW! Seeing those side by side with the stock tires make those look even beefier. Thanks for all those comparison pics!!

Funny, I had a Tundra and traded for a 4Runner, then traded that for the Taco. If the Tundra had the same edgy body lines as the Taco I would still have it and it would be paid for.

    Good luck!

Wait, yours were black? WTF?! Mine were silver. And yours went all the way back, and no bedside decals? What's the story here?

I think these were done by the dealer along with the hood decals. They were actually slightly reflective too! But I am not a fan of pin stripes... Lol

Ahhh, yea, I remember you saying about the hood vinyl. So the dealer took off the bedside decals and factory pin stripes and added black.......odd.

Rob, pinstripes aren't from the factory (at least they don't do them in Hawaii)...it must have been a dealer add-on.

That is definitely a first seeing a dealer taking off the bedside decals for any reason tho. Now you have a clean slate to add whatever decal you want (if you even want any at all).

I'm diggin the hood stripes tho!

Yea, what I meant is that the dealer calls them a factory option. Every Tacoma on the lot where I bought mine had them. So far every new one I see has them, except for the Pro's. Mine were silver. I didn't get it. Except maybe because my interior is not the black with orange stitching. It is the grey with white stitching. Had they been black I would have left them on.

I gotcha and I agree, the silver definitely does not go with the Inferno...they should've at least gone black.

I know you can't see them from here, but my pinstripes are silver and I know they are the reason I get such great gas mileage.
