    Are you working from county records? Sometimes the corners aren't physically there.

    The distances may be different depending on how the survey was performed. Some use gps, some use an instrument and some a tape. You may find some that actually still use chain.

    no but when i pulled the mountain to find stakes for my uncle, he wasnt able and i was the only one that knew where they were that could get up the mtn. cause neighbor was logging, our metal stake was in a pile if rocks. they logged across the line and had to settle with my uncle got me hunting rites for ever. and not a good hike in July. i caried my snake stick to traverse the rocks up top. good luck

    They don’t have much fence either. They put part of it 20’ inside their property. I’m guessing the old dude didn’t want to pony up sharing fence?
