Does Toyota use bubble or double flares? My 01 needs new lines across the rear axle and I'm finding mixed information.

Male & Female m10x1.0 from LSPV to 3 way tee on axle.

Hard line on rear axle should be flare hard line with male m10x1.0 on both end

Front is m10x1.0 female to banjo with bolt

Double flares. I just replaced mine and made my own lines.

Like 02hilux said, M10x1.0 fittings go into the brake proportioning valve, that tee, and the wheel cylinders.

I used nickel copper line, which bent by hand easy enough.

A lot of the clips that hold the hardline on broke off when I removed the old line, so I had to buy some new bolts and bring out some zipties.

    3/16

They put a new valve on mine when they replaced my frame which was nice.

I bought a kit on Amazon that came with 25' (I think) of 3/16 copper/nickle and ten M10x1.0 fittings

@Sodom can I ask when you had the frame replaced?

Not sure, it was replaced before I purchased it. But, it is an '01, so it has to be 2016 or earlier.

Just curious, how did you know your brake proportioning valve was out?
I’m still on my original rear shoes at 570,000 and wondering if mine even works.

Proportioning valves are meant to decrease the pressure to the rear brakes. If it's going bad, it will not be able to regulate/decrease the brake pressure to the rear and you would be either locking up the rear brakes when braking hard and/or be going through rear brake shoes.

sorry for the late reply. brakes got soft in a hurry, then brake light came on. lucky for me, the brake light came on as i was turning onto my road. got home and had wife pump the brakes. seen it was leaking from the valve.
