What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Put some ditch lights on the taco today! Used the bracket from caliraised and it fit like a glove! Only thing is my hood sits a little higher towards the back now but that was expected.

Hardest achievement to unlock

 

Snagged a Leer 180 cap off FB marketplace 45 minutes from home, color-matched, screened windows, carpet lined, lock/keys , only thing wrong is missing the front window. Paid $500, will fix the front window and not even be close to what I paid for a brand new one I had on my old 1st gen. Won't ever do that again, just gotta hunt consistently! Pretty excited.

 

That was me, but you are not a copycat at all. That is why we are here, to share our ideas and help each other save a buck or two. Looks great.

 

Yeah. My first Tacoma went over 250,000 before Toyota bought it back from me. Last one had 120,000 and had to sell because the family got bigger. I miss my 1st Gens, but love my 2nd Gen too. Hope to see many more miles to come!

 

Got some Tundra shocks to replace my worn out shocks. Not a bad 20$ upgrade

Snagged a snugtop for 250 $ off of CL today needs paint and a new lock...

 

Picked up a Jason Pace top for $250, needs painted but is in otherwise great shape.

 

Did you install the ditch light brackets between the hood and hinges? If so, that would explain the slighter taller gap. It should be install on top of the hinges to keep the hood line flush w the fenders.

 

So they are actually longer?

I was on my way to Home Depot to get supplies to do the jerry-rigged aux mod when I heard a Car Toys ad saying Apple Car Play for $299. I got there and they said actually this one is $199! So I have Car Play now... and an addition to my list of irresponsible purchases

Thank You sir. I use an FM transmitter, but I'm planning on buying a new head unit, and new speakers soon.

 

Had a local muffler shop reroute the cross over to be just above the bottom of the frame cross member. $75 well spent.

 

I just had mine rerouted as well, though a little different route. Definitely worth it.

 

Where u get those skid plates? Custom?
