This weekend coming up I'm gonna be working on my properties but the following Saturday, as long as it's not raining too bad, I plan to do some fishing in the Potomac in a secluded spot that us locals use. Anyone interested? It's MD waters so only a MD fishing license is required.

Oh that happens to me at work sometimes when the internet is running slow as shit.

 

Yea im at work but its not cause my internet is slow cause its every pic on this site. and it wont load up after awhile.

I only go on TW on my phone/ipad or at work. its just at work where i cant see the pics.

 

Mine does the same thing, but it's intermittent. After awhile it'll self correct and I can get my fix in.

 

Has anyone ever installed the Roof Rack on a 3rd Gen? I'm getting ready to buy one and curious as I looked over the install instructions, doesn't look horrible. Just curious though

 

The stock one? I haven't personally, but it seems really easy. Just pull off weather stripping and bolt it down.

 

Yeah I'm buying the OEM one. I was just curious if the weather stripping gave them a hassle because they're very adimit on the instructions about removing all of it so didn't know if that gave anyone issues. Trucks not even a month old so I don't think removing it cleanly should be to much of a hassle but just curious.

 

Make sure you get a torx set to install it. my weather stripping came off easy.

For anybody who is a IPA drinker and appreciates a Md beer I can highly recommend Smoketown IPA from Brunswick Md . 7.4 % alc/vol hop flavor no fruit

 

If it’s anything like the 2nd gen OEM rack then it’s super easy.

 

By the way we have probably the most non meeting threads in the entire TW enterprise somewhere sometime we have to set up a central location for a meet. Which I’m gonna set between Ellicott City and Columbia Md so all those in favor let me know in the next couple of weeks for a end of August on a Sunday mid day meet . Doesn’t have to include food or drink .This is the most central area from are Western and Southern people ,yes it could be a 2 hr. drive + for some but if you know of a better location let me know .Lets set this up guys ,.The Md thread has never had a big meet since I’ve been on it .

 

I have. A stock one. Pretty easy.

 

What year VW? I ask because the one's I've worked on required Tri-Square bits/sockets. They look very similar to Torx but they are not interchangeable. I only mention this so you don't start into the install and find out you don't have the right tools.

 

Some of us have met at Frisco in Columbia a few times. Good parking. Good food. A "few" beers... Just a suggestion

Actually, I installed mine, wasn't happy with the fit, of one of the rails, took it off, redid the attachment and now it's perfect.

There are videos online to help.
