    Not one bit.

I drove my old pickup with mud terrains, Tacoma with Kelly safaris, MTRs, Dodge with Falkens and Dodge with Toyo MTs. Never had a problem, got into an accident or went into the ditch. And I drive a truck with steer tires like this.
    upload_2018-7-21_17-16-48.jpg

It has a lot more to do with the driver.

Hit the bush with the boys today. Quick morning run.

These bald summer tires actually work half good.

Got me to this point and the rest of the way up

Came home and got new bulbs and horns for the truck, also might’ve got tundra brakes.

So why use mud tires off road?

    :boink:

But I digress. So you drive a truck of some kind? Tractor trailer or smaller? I drive firetruck. If the going gets bad we have chains.

Proof above that they’re not always required.

Mud terrains have always served me well in winter. Why have two sets of tires when you only need one?

Point. I'm running one set. Duratracs. But plan to switch. Just not sure what. Want the same offroad capability, quiet on road, and decent in snow. But an MT isn't my first choice. Our mountain road are treacherous with inappropriate tires :annoyed:

You know how it is :D

Tundra brakes on. Only took about an hour including drilling out the banjo bolts and bleeding.

Had to file down the rough casting on the new calipers to accept the copper washer instead of the double flare style fitting.
Here’s the banjo bolt drilled to clear the double flare protrusion in the caliper. (Before cleaning it up)

And yes they fit under the stock 5 spoke wheels! With lots of room. Also cut off the backing plates since they didn’t fit around the rotor at all. Always a pain in the ass anyway.

    Looks good

And those 5 spokes come on tundras as well. They definitely fit. I was worried about my wheels (pro comps) fitting. Mounted them up to my dad's 04 Tundy that has the 13wl calipers. They work too :D

Well. Got wheels. Got stems. Flares came off.

    No rust!

Put them on and made a few lines.
Got Tanner over and he volunteered to do the cutting. His cuts are much better than mine. His cuts turned out very nice. Now to add trim to the fenders so clean finish them off (yeah we cut the fenders today).

Fenders are done for now, bumper and pinch weld trimmed enough to drive around.

    Big things happening this weekend.
